In this role as Data Architect Lead, you will be working alongside Data Engineers, stakeholders such as product managers, team leads, and senior management to empower the client technical data platform department of our client with actionable data and platform capabilities.

You will be integral in the design and implementation of reliable, performant and scale-able data platform and engineering solutions. In addition, you will lead a team that looks after the daily data platform operations and its efficiency.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• At least 7 years of experience in Data Platform Architect or Data Engineering Lead related roles
• At least 5 years of experience in Microstrategy operations (Infrastructure / Business) - requiements gathering to customer reporting sessions
• Strong education background with degrees in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems (preferred)
• knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or other platform
• Strong working and architecture knowledge of ETL and related tooling; Informatica, penthao and natively with AWS
• Working proficiency in SQL and familiarity with at least one of the programming language (e.g., Python, Scala)
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Strong working knowledge of AWS specific Data Engineering and Data Science solutions (Redshift, Glue, SageMaker)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data ingestion solutions for big data.
  Build efficient and reliable data processing solutions.
• Design and implement data storage solutions.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of large datasets.
• Optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data pipeline by implementing effective data validation and monitoring strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-8 years of designing and implementing ETL solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiar with AWS data ingestion and processing tools like NiFi, Kinesis, and Glue.
• Strong expertise in big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Experience with AWS data storage solutions including S3, Iceberg, Aurora, and OpenSearch.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Scala, and Java.
• Preferred certification and/or hands-on experience with AWS data services.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Work well in a team.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud platform architectures. You will work closely with the project team to analyze client needs, develop technical designs, and provide expert guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle. Your primary skill proficiency in Cloud Platform Architecture will be essential to the success of this project.
