Software Engineer

The successful incumbent will join our R&D team and work on GUI/ Cloud resources to ensure a seamless interface and cloud integration for our application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and responsive web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Implement and integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries to enhance application functionality.
• Optimize web applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices to continuously improve our development processes and tools.
• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and support existing web applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
• Have between 2 to 3 years of experience in full-stack web application development. Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, React.JS, or Vue.JS, Node.JS, Python or Spring Boot 2 and above, MongoDB, MySQL.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive web applications (full-stack).
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate them into high-quality code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring application security.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.

System Engineer

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:

• Responding to and resolving technical issues: This involves troubleshooting servers, software, network, security, and application problems.
• Ensuring IT security: Responsibilities include maintaining user access controls, managing software licenses, coordinating security awareness training, and assisting with the implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Maintaining IT assets: The role requires tracking and recording IT equipment and applying security patches/ updates.
• Project implementation: The incumbent will participate in infrastructure projects, and new technology implementations as directed by the Head of IT.
• Collaboration and reporting: This role involves working with regional IT teams, reporting security incidents, and assisting with compliance audits.

Support

• Provide first line of support for technical helpdesk and on-site end-user support.
• Performing Access Administration (Domain accounts, Email accounts, Folder Access, Applications Access etc.)
• Hardware/ Software License Management (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.)
• Ensure all IT assets are properly tracked and recorded in the asset management system
• Document and track identified issues and escalation processes.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of IT security incidents, infrastructure/ network issues, application functionality/bugs and end-user computing problems
• Assist in implementing and adhering to IT Manager, Regional IT security tools, policies and procedures within the country office.
• Coordinate and deliver security awareness training for employees in the country office.
• Follow established procedures for responding to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Maintain security software patches and updates on systems and devices in the country office.
• Collaborate with regional IT teams during incident response activities.
• Report security incidents to the Head of IT for further investigation and escalation.
• Assist the Head of IT with any compliance audits or assessments.
• Undertaking projects as requested by reporting Manager

Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate networks
• Install and integrate Server / Firewall / Switch hardware and applications
• Keep an eye out for needed updates
• Ensure network security and connectivity
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
• Resolve problems reported by end user
• Define network policies and procedures
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Research and make recommendations on Server/ Firewall/ Switch system administration

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a network administrator role
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
• Ability to set up and configure server/firewall/switch hardware
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking
• Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training

Software Engineer (Artificial Intelligence)

• Develop and deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) models into production
• Troubleshoot AI algorithm to resolve issues relating to object detection, segmentation, bio-metric identification and environment sensing.
• Propose and develop solutions to reduce and enhance memory usage of micro-controller units (MCUs) to allow AI algorithm to run on edge devices.
• Develop codes and scripts for real-time data processing

Job Description

Opportunity to for a Software Engineer to be part of our dynamic R&D team, to work on the frontend and back development for IOT/ Cloud solutions. The candidate should have prior experience in developing a web-based IOT device management platform. • Develop and maintain a web-based platform for monitoring and controlling IoT devices using React.js, Redux, JSX, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features, ensuring the best possible user’s experience.
• Utilize microservices architecture and Java Spring Boot framework to design and develop the backend components.
• Package the application and services within a Docker container for deployment and scalability.
• Deploy the Dockerized application to AWS EC2 instances for hosting and ensure proper configuration and maintenance.
• Replicate the development environment using Docker and basic AWS services.
• Work with MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval, ensuring efficient and secure data management.
• Set up and maintain the Linux environment for development and deployment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
