You Will Make an Impact By:

• Responsible for commodities or assignments requiring application of sound purchasing principles, theories and concepts.
• Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner, thereby achieving optimum inventory cost and meeting customers’ demand.
• Processes purchase requisitions, purchase/change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
• Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.
• Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value.
• Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
• Disposition of material Quality Notifications (QN’s)
• Implementation of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Perform RFQ for Asia localization.
• Follow NPI and production plans, to deliver inventory, PPV and service targets.
• Manage the performance of the supply base effectively and participate in Global Material initiatives.
• Support Commodity and Sourcing objectives; Negotiate supplier terms & conditions, negotiate supplier pricing, Lead Time, upside flexibility, Escalation path for critical commodity issues, Provide market analysis and trends.
• Support and coordinate the supply chain transition of new products into production.
• Align and support Global Sourcing Managers Overall Procurement Strategies timely actualization.

Skills You Bring:

• A diploma or degree from an accredited college/university with a minimum > 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment and a demonstrated understanding of MRP, inventory, and production principles.
• Must be fluent in English communication in oral and written
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills essential.
• The individual should enjoy working in a dynamic and results motivated team.
• Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Drive all procurement (purchasing and sourcing) activities from demand to delivery.

2. The role involves material purchasing, sourcing, planning and inventory management coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

3. Establish strong connection with internal and external stakeholder to support all company procurement needs.

4. Ensure all purchases meet the company's quality, technical specifications & delivery timeline.

5. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for technical goods and services.

6. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

7. Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

8. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements.

9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

10. Develop and implement purchasing tactic to optimize cost and efficiency.

11. Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and deliveries.

12. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.

13. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and performance.

14. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

15. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.

16. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.

17. Evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Technical Buyer or in a similar role.

3. Strong understanding of technical (drawing & machining process) specifications and requirements.

4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

5. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Having a background in computer science or related disciplines
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as C/C++, Golang or Java
• Having at least 3 years of experience building high performance systems

• Deep understanding of software engineering concepts and processes
• Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit

Good to have

• Hands-on experience with Golang

• Approve bills for payment as authorized by Materials Manager
• Qualify vendors and maintains close surveillance on their performance in relation to their products conformance to our specifications and quality standards
• Work closely with QA & Engineering and liaise with affected suppliers to resolve line issues due to components be it quality or drawing issues etc.
