Job Responsibilities:

• Deploy and provide professional services: This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation and upgrading of Cybersecurity products that Netpoleon distributes. Occasionally, this will involve managing customers and timelines.
• Provide workable solutions: Offer solutions (or alternatives) based on customers’ requirements.
• Conduct product training: Provide training on our products to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Perform installations and configurations: Carry out installations and configurations independently using product manuals.
• Upskill and certification: You will upskill and obtain technical certifications for the products or technologies you handle, as applicable.
• Subject matter expertise: Over time, become a subject matter expert to assist in transferring domain knowledge and technical skills to our maintenance team to better support our customers.
• Technical assistance: Support the sales and support teams in technical matters, such as product feature clarification, implementation considerations, tender compliance, and other ad-hoc situations.

Job Requirements:

• Nitec/Higher Nitec certificate, Diploma or Degree in IT, IS, Cyber Security, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in IT, IS, Cybersecurity preferred. Candidates without relevant work experience may be considered for an Associate Engineer position.
• Strong understanding of technology infrastructures such as Firewalls, VPN, DLP, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, DNS, Email Security, Log Management, SIEM, Virtualization, Containers, AWS, Azure, Google cloud, DevOps/DevSecOps, Privilege Account Security, Identify Access Management, Endpoint Security, CyberArk Conjur.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting various technologies, network, and system issues including routing, NAT, VLAN, Multicast, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, AD, LDAP, RADIUS, SNMP, Syslog, SMTP, TLS, SSH.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in staying updated on cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
• Preference will be given to candidates with certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Check Point CCSE/CCSM, Thales, CyberArk CDE, Trellix, ArcSight ESM/Logger, ITOM, SailPoint, CISSP, CREST, OSCP.
• Proficiency in programming language like Python, C++, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash scripting, and Power Shell is advantageous.
• Compliance with Company Information Security Standards.

• Working hours: 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday*
• Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experiences

Key Responsibilities:
∙Coordinate with external vendors and collaborate with customers and SaaS providers to conduct IT Security Risk Assessments. Identify security threats, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies for approval by the customer.
∙Coordinate the handling of security incidents, ensuring a timely response and resolution. Maintain a robust incident response process and documentation.
∙Manage and coordinate regular security audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests. Consolidate findings, ensure proper remediation, and provide feedback to stakeholders on risk mitigation efforts.
∙Maintain and update all security-related documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and best practices. Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27018, SOC 2 Type 2, and CSA-STAR (Level 2).
∙Continuously monitor the security posture of the SaaS solution and related ICT systems. Provide regular reports on security risks and mitigation actions to stakeholders and customers.
∙Oversee the remediation of security vulnerabilities identified during security assessments, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to address risks in a timely manner.
∙Provide clear, concise security reports and recommendations to customers, ensuring they understand the security posture of the SaaS solution and any risks or issues that need attention.
∙Take on ad-hoc security tasks as required to address emerging risks or assist with specific security projects or initiatives.

Qualifications:
∙Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, particularly in enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS environments.
∙A current professional information security certification (such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, GSE) or equivalent is highly desirable.
∙In-depth knowledge of IT security management and governance, risk assessment, incident response, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
∙Familiarity with international security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27018, CSA-STAR, SOC 2 Type 2, NIST, and CIS.
∙Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
∙The position requires the candidate to be based locally.
∙Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
∙Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Focus of the role

As a Technical Consultant, you pride yourself on your exceptional technical capability and service excellence. In this role your mission is to ultimately increase Telstra’s Purple’s market share, by securing and delivering outstanding IT consulting solutions to our enterprise customers. You provide consulting services and lead medium-large scale engagements across our customer portfolio, often managing multiple engagements at a time. Your technical and commercial acumen, passion for customer engagement, strong communication skills and experience in delivering both pre and post sales activities are critical to success in this role.

What you’ll do
As a Technical Consultant, you leverage your technical domain knowledge (e.g. Network, Network Security, Data Centre, Cloud Wireless, or Cyber Security) and experience in delivering Business Technology Consulting services to deliver the following responsibilities:

• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including reviewing inbound statements of work (SOWs), validating and quantifying scope variations, providing technical guidance, and participating in kick-off meetings to ensure all relevant information has been handed over from sales to set up delivery for success
• Leverage your subject-matter expertise and strong understanding/translation of customer requirements to scope best-practice services and solutions in line with financial and performance targets. This includes taking ownership of Low Level Design (LLD) documentation, and leading of design workshops
• Create high-level migration plans, input into the design, development and delivery of multiple technology consulting engagements; providing technical authority for the overall design, approach and customer deliverables, and ensuring they are delivered in line with quality, cost and time standards
• Significantly contribute to project management activities, breaking projects down into clear outcomes, milestones and deliverables, and delegating activities to the team (e.g. planning, design, implementation, documentation) to ensure maximum and efficient utilisation of available resources
• Act as a central point of customer contact for technical communications and escalations, and leverage your deep experience and lessons learned to develop issue mitigation strategies and support your team in resolving risks to service delivery
• Continuously develop your own knowledge, skills and understanding of industry best practice/technologies, and share your knowledge
• Take accountability for your own contribution to delivery and project profitability, ensuring you meet your OKR targets (e.g. Projects delivered in budget, client satisfaction, billable utilisation, technical quality, timesheet submission)

About You

The ideal candidate will have highly developed skills and experience in customer management, development, enterprise consulting and development solutions, including:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with relevant technologies
• Experience in designing/delivery of key development solutions into Azure or AWS
• Experience in delivery of web front end development stacks such as HTML and JavaScript and/or experience in delivery of mobile development stacks
• Exposure to multiple agile methodologies, best practices and development technologies
• Ability to provide advisory and present solutions to clients
• Good communication skills, high level of technical expertise and extremely passionate about technology.
