Requirements:

The position

The APAC Market Unit is looking to identify high calibre, professional consultants across all levels to join a newly formed client team (4 days per week, 1 day from SimCorp office / home). This is not a traditional Simcorp consulting engagement where you just deliver a solution. You will have the ability to work within a highly regarded customer business participating in the delivery of solutions using a wide variety of tools that are part a leading-edge agile tech platform. We are looking for consultants to join the team in early Q1 2025 and will consider, Principal or Lead Business Consultants to act as Ambassadors for SimCorp, delivering top class client service for the duration of this project.

Previous experience working with SimCorp Dimension is essential.

In the role of Software Development Manager, Data & Comms, you will be expected to take an active role in the Data & communications service line to improve the implementation, expertise, and advisory capability of Data & Communications consultants within our market unit and beyond. Of particular importance will be working with the Data & Communications service line team on the increased adoption of robust communications server and Datawarehouse / Snowflake solutions

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development of SimCorp Dimension® to the client’s platform
• Monitor the results and quality of SimCorp Dimension® implementation to the client’s platform
• Oversee the development of solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of SimCorp Dimension® and its features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered
• Assist the client to achieve full business value in their implementation
• Designing client specific solutions based on SimCorp standard systems and offerings.
• Act as a trouble-shooter when difficult technical issues occur.
• Act in the capacity of an extension of the customers business driving successful outcomes in an efficient manner.
• Potentially responsible for mentoring other employees.
• Consultants will participate in all aspects of implementation, including design, configuration, integration, and training.
• Depending on areas of expertise, consultants will be made responsible for one or more streams in the project
• Advising on process improvements through better use of Dimension.

• Asset Management – Front, Middle or Back Office workflow understanding

• Certification in advanced connectivity and in-depth knowledge of: communication server, filter toolbox, and data extractor are required.
• Additional knowledge of SC BI, CORIC, SC DWH (and or Snowflake) would be an advantage.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) processes and ensure the smooth functioning of our business-critical applications. This role involves vendor coordination, end-user support, contract management, and project oversight to deliver efficient, high-quality application support services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AMS Management

• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to onboard services, ensure SLAs are met, and address issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Performance Oversight: Review vendor deliverables, including incident reports, change requests, and service reports, ensuring compliance with contracts and processes.
• Reporting: Prepare and review monthly performance reports, addressing any discrepancies or performance gaps.

2. End-User Support

• Act as the main point of contact for application users, addressing queries, understanding requirements, and prioritizing issue resolution or enhancements.

3. Contract Management

• Monitor and track AMS contracts to ensure uninterrupted application support and maintenance services.

4. Process Standardization and Compliance

• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for application support.
• Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to organizational policies and guidelines.

5. Project Management

• Oversee application enhancements and change requests by coordinating with vendors or in-house teams to deliver solutions on time.

6. Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations

• Drive cost-efficiency through root cause analysis, performance tuning, and user training.
• Conduct periodic reviews of knowledge bases for AMS applications.
• Provide support for applications not covered by AMS and participate in disaster recovery exercises.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application maintenance, support, and vendor management, with at least 2 years in project management.
• Strong understanding of ITIL methodologies (certification is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with the following technologies:Unix and Redhat scripting
  Java 8 or above
  Middleware (e.g., Weblogic, Tomcat, SpringBoot)
  Automation tools and build tools (e.g., Maven, Jenkins)
  Databases (Oracle, MSSQL)
