Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Asia Regional Head of People & Culture to lead and manage HR activities across the Asia Pacific region. In this strategic role, you will oversee the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with Scan Global Logistics' business objectives. You will play a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, leadership development, and talent management across the region.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with a proven track record in HR leadership, deep knowledge of regional labor markets, and a passion for building high-performance cultures.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Lead the HR function across all Asia Pacific countries, aligning HR strategy with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the global HR team to define regional HR priorities, ensuring consistency with corporate HR policies while accommodating regional nuances.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and regional managers, offering guidance on HR issues and organizational development.
TalentManagement & Development:
- Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent and ensure the recruitment of highly skilled professionals across Asia.
- Lead regional talent development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and employee growth programs.
- Oversee performance management processes to drive a high-performance culture.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes inclusivity, collaboration, and employee well-being.
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Actively address employee relations issues and mediate conflicts to maintain a harmonious work environment.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across the Asia Pacific region, working closely with legal and compliance teams.
- Oversee HR processes such as compensation and benefits, payroll, training, and performance management.
- Monitor HR metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Change Management:
- Support organizational change initiatives and transformation projects, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new structures or processes.
- Promote innovation in HR practices and introduce new technologies to enhance HR services.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage the HR budget for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for HR programs and initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of HR resources to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in HR leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a regional or multi-country HR management capacity.
- Proven expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, talent management, and employee relations within the logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices across the Asia Pacific region.
