We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Operations Engineer to join our Data Solution team with focus on Commodity Trading, Logistics, Risk Management and Storage. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Data Ingestion and Transformation:

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps in close alignment with the DevOps team.
• Implement and manage data transformations using Databricks and Delta Live Tables, including the DLT-Framework.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data is ingested, transformed, and stored effectively.

2. Maintenance and Operations:

• Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure continuous and reliable data flow.

• Implement & operate CI/CD pipelines

4. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and operate or deliver solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

5. Data Quality and Governance:

• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.
• Adhere to data governance policies and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Experience

Proven experience of at least 4 years as a Data Operations Engineer or similar role ideally within an agile delivery work environment.

Skill and Competencies

- Strong technical skills in a cloud environment, including:

Responsibilities:

• To follow strict instituted workplace security policy at the customer premises.

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Centre Business Operations Director to manage internet / hyperscale data center projects from inception to completion, primarily in Japan, the US, and Australia. This role involves developing strategic client relationships and enhancing the company's market position.

Business set-up: Start-up company

Base location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all business operations across the region, including project management, vendor management, set up new businesses etc for primarily in Japan, Australia and USA (priority in Osaka, Japan)
• Manage project plans, timelines, and resources.
• Work closely with top cloud and enterprise customers, delivering presentations on design aspects..
• Oversee project lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
• Promote best practices and collaborate with field operations.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in data center design or project delivery.
• Knowledge of business/government regulations in relevant regions.
• Experience working for a data center operator with hyperscale and cloud experience in Japan, Australia, and the United States.
• Experience working with the leading data center operators such as Equinix
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within APAC.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage

You will participate in or lead local project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans.

• Contribute to efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure.
• Learn and apply skills in repairing and troubleshooting different machine platforms.
• Participate in complex troubleshooting and resolve critical technical issues.
• Test and troubleshoot new server and network hardware components and designs.
• Install and maintain switches, routers, and other large-scale networking gear.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting one of the following: operating systems and computer/server hardware or networking protocols.
• Experience with performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
• Ability to lift/move equipment and exert yourself physically over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedule as required.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of server systems.
• Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and network issues using Linux tools.
• Knowledge of networking, including topology and protocol.
• Excellent people and communication skills.

Network Operations

1. Manages the set-up and coordination of TV transmission traffic in real time.

2. Acts as the first level support, and point of contact, for equipment, and the broadcast network.

3. Fully responsible for operating Eurovision's satellite, fibre and IP network.

4. Oversees the quality of transmission signals and reports to the Senior Network Operations Engineer.

5. Detect and correct any anomalies or faults in transmissions.

6. Allocates resources and services to customer on a short notice basis.

7. Reports faults/modifications on equipment in the Eurovision Control room, or at any important technical point across the network.

8. Takes the temporary measures required in order to ensure the continuity of service.

9. Ensure customer satisfaction, and have the appropriate behaviour in all situation.

10. Assures a consistent and high quality of service, through monitoring, and ensuring service integrity.

11. Enters real transmission times used for invoicing services.

12. Is responsible for capturing incident logs in the relevant operating system in order to follow up internally with support teams, and externally for customer reporting.

13. On night shifts maintains full responsibility for network traffic and can take all necessary measures to ensure continuity in the network.

Special Projects

1. Can participate in event projects to provide technical guidance, and engineering solutions.

2. Can be required to take part in outside missions; as a technical coordinator, engineer, and engineer in charge.

3. Upon Manager request other tasks can be added.

Working Conditions

1. Shift work from 0630 – 1430 and 1400 – 2200 hrs GMT+8.

2. Will be expected to work independently most of the time.

3. Will have to support head office, regional and international bureaus.
