Technical Quality Project Manager is responsible for the efficient set-up, execution, control and management of "Projects" within the agreed contractual scope & company's policy with client's satisfaction as a final result. The TQPM should also be responsible for essential quality assurance and control functions, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:

• Oversee the supply and delivery of steel, ensuring compliance with specified delivery specifications and conditions, based on customer’s requirements.
• Plan, execute, and oversee projects from start to completion, defining scope and deliverables with senior management.
• Communicate and manage expectations with stakeholders and team members, resolving conflicts as needed.
• Track milestones, manage changes, and prepare contingency plans, ensuring project goals are met.
• Develop reports and proposals, defining success criteria and building essential business relationships.

Quality Management:

• Review and evaluate customer specifications, understand deviations from supplier offers, and ensure familiarity with relevant standards and specifications.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and standardize QA/QC activities from raw materials to customer delivery.
• Address quality complaints, initiating corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
• Must be willing to travel as required for job execution.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma Material Science and/or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of steel grades, welding inspection, and general steel quality issues.

Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Technical and Compliance in reviewing and monitoring that Financial Statements Audit and Assurance Engagements within the firm, as well as firm-wide policies, processes, and procedures, comply with all applicable Pronouncements, including International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (IESBA), International Standards of Quality Management (ISQM), corporate regulations, and other authoritative pronouncements.

Candidates for this role will be supporting the firm’s technical department in achieving the following outcomes:

• Establishing policies and procedures within the firm to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements.

• Implementing and monitoring the Firm’s program to compliance with ISQM.

• Planning and conducting risk assessments and quality control reviews on engagements, to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements.

• Validating that controls established by the Firm to comply with the Pronouncements are operating effectively and timely.

• Analyzing and identifying gaps, and potential areas of improvement, in quality control procedures within the Firm to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements, and proposing remediation plans.

• Conducting real-time reviews of financial statements audit and assurance engagements before audit opinions are signed.

• Carrying out root cause analyses and monitoring effectiveness of action plans to address areas of weaknesses identified.

• Training, coaching, developing and cultivating technical competencies to ensure capability of designated employees to maintain and comply with the Pronouncements.

• Preparing and collating information/reports for regulatory and internal reviews and handle any related coordination work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or other relevant disciplines.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an audit and/or quality role, within a Public Accounting firm.

• Candidates with experience in similar quality management roles are preferred.

• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills to communicate across all levels of staff and management.

Reporting to the Head of Operations & Technology, you shall be responsible to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the IT team on daily operations covering infrastructure, applications, network performance, soft and hardware, technical support, etc
• Motivate and manage staff and related activities like recruitment, performance evaluation, coaching
• Liaise and manage all vendors/ service providers on corporate telecommunications and IT-related projects to ensure contractual obligations are set and successfully delivered
• Handle overall planning and end-to-end implementation of Polisy400/CIC/ CCFES/ website system development, Contact Centre front-end system and system platform
• Review and provide cost-effective IT solutions to business on insurance system related requirements for improvements to strength current IT framework
• Assist in system testing on different marketing campaigns, website enhancements, etc
• Monitor and control all IT-related expenses and budget
• Ensure proper documentation and measures, e.g. Business Continuity Plan (BCP), are in-place for audit checks and in accordance to MAS statutory guidelines
• Communicate and liaise with Group IT in Hong Kong and Malaysia on IT compliance standards and group projects
• Prepare and submit monthly management report, setup IT policies and establish/ update IT Operational Manual (SOP).

Job Requirements:

• A recognized Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant/ related qualification with at least 10 years of relevant work experience preferably in general insurance industry.
• Possess strong IT knowledge and hands-on experience in COBOL programming, Polisy400, backup, systems, storage, DR, wireless, email and database system.
• Excellent project, costs/ budget and vendor management capabilities.
• Highly organized and able to work within tight datelines with demonstrated success in managing projects.
• Hands-on experience in BCP and DR support is a must.
• Mature deposition with good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
