Job Description:

• Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitors performance and ensures system availability and reliability
• Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provides Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes
• Selects and implements security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaises with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• At least 5-7 years of similar experience
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience
• Certified in CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
• Good understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Good understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

Summary:

About the role

The System Verification team tests the integrated electronics and software of the products. The degree of sophistication and complexity varies from product to product, with different technologies and features. This variety of test needs requires creative verification solutions with automation applied where possible. The verification team sits in the Hardware Haircare group, alongside electronics design and sensor development. The verification team is based across sites in Southeast Asia; the team works collaboratively to test the Haircare product range through the different product development stages; this can include early technology investigations through to production and manufacturing test development and support. We are looking to expand the group to support the growing number of products and new technologies.

• Analysing system requirements to specify and implement system verification tests.
• Feedback to the product and system design/development teams.
• Support / lead root cause investigations & implement corrective actions.
• Develop new test methodologies.
• Specify and develop test fixtures.
• Execute system tests manually and using the developed automated tests.
• Analyse test results.
• Guide, develop & supervise junior engineer/s in verification activities according to Electronics standard process.
• Follow test process and continuously identify opportunities to reduce effort, improving the process efficiency.

About you

• Degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, software, or comparable engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of direct experience in system verification test development.
• Capable of specifying, developing, and implementing system verification tests.
• Exhibit the ability to analyse. Including analysis of test results, processes, and systems.
• Experienced in developing with NI LabVIEW, preferably having LabVIEW qualifications.
• Working knowledge of NI TestStand and Python would be an advantage.
• Experience of using NI or other remotely controlled instrumentation.
• Ability to understand schematics and PCB diagrams.
• Understanding of electronics systems and hardware design.
• Knowledge or experience of working with sensors/actuators would be a benefit.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary, Agile team, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for security systems and tools, including firewalls and other security technologies, as per the maintenance contract requirements
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure the security systems are up-to-date and running efficiently
• Provide incident response support, troubleshoot security incidents, and work closely with clients to resolve issues in a timely resolution
• Implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure that security requirements are integrated into new projects and systems
• Provide internal training and support to the team as part of knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call standby rotation to provide 24/7 support for incidents
• Participate in regular operations review meetings, including operational issues, tickets review, etc

• Knowledge in network and operating systems
• Knowledge in network routing, switching technologies and protocols
• Exposure in scripting languages and security tools
• Hands-on experience in firewall and VPN technologies such as Cisco ASA Firewall and VPN, Cisco ACS/ISE, Cisco ESA/SMA, Cisco WSA, Palo Alto firewalls, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet firewalls, etc
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Availability to work extended hours and participate in on-call standby rotation

Preferred Requirements

• CCNA certified
