Position Overview
The position leads and takes care of network and security/firewall related infrastructure of the company.
The position is part of a senior technical team that works with operations team and sales to ensure proper operation, support, and delivery of services to customers.
Responsibilities
· Lead on implementing, maintaining, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting datacenter, cloud, firewall on network & firewall related areas.
· Ensure availability, stability, security, and compliance to company’s IT policies and standard.
· Provide engineering support to operation team which operate a 24x7 technical support center.
· Responsible in overseeing network & firewall related service provisioning and decommissioning.
· Provide network design, solution deployment and technical documentation on various projects.
· Involved in service / solution delivery and management of customer's contract.
· Handling escalation and perform investigation and troubleshooting to all the reported issues.
· Vendor management on responsible areas.
· Support company solution development through the testing and evaluation of new technologies and security solutions.
· Support sales in pre-sales related activities for customer engagement.
Requirements
· Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science / Information Technology.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in networking environment and security-related roles
· In depth knowledge of network switches and routers (Cisco, Juniper) and security appliance (Fortigate, Sonicwall..etc)
· In-depth knowledge of DNS, VLANs and VPN solution.
· Experience in routing protocol such as OSPF and BGP. Ability to handle BGP setup of a typical network service provider.
· Prefer candidates with good practical working experience in network switch, router and firewalls, network switch and router.
· Have good problem analysis and solving skills in troubleshooting and resolving cases or problems.
· Have good verbal and written communication skills.
· Have good negotiation skill and vendor management experience.
· Learn quickly, takes initiative, works in a systematic and methodical and orderly way.
· Flexible and able to adapt to different customers, varying tasks and responsibilities.
· Ability to be on call 24x7 with a flexible schedule.
