- Good knowledge in software architecture design and system integration;

- Experience in Oracle PeopleSoft Technology (e.g. PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer) will be an added advantage

[What you will be working on]

You will be involved in the Estates Management functions and upgrading of ITE’s physical facilities. Your key responsibilities include the following:

• Formulate and implement systems and procedures to ensure that ITE’s physical assets are well-managed, maintained in good condition and in compliance with statutory requirements; and
• Implement Smart Campus and Green Building solutions to enhance the building performance and sustainability standards of ITE’s built environment.

• Relevant educational credentials in Building/ Engineering/ Estates Management or other building-related disciplines;

[What you will be working on]

You will be required to perform system administration functions for the Windows and Redhat Linux operating system supporting various applications. Experience in virtualization (VMware) environment, Azure AssA O365 exchange and sharepoint online are also part of the job scope. In addition to operational support, you will also be involved in projects and new IT initiatives that involves multiple stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

• Perform integration with ITE’s Enterprise e-Learning systems where applicable to make the applications and digital resources available for lecturers and students through these platforms,
• Provide user and maintenance support for applications that have been developed, including investigating, troubleshooting, analyzing and solving application errors,
• Support analysis of learning data to help lecturers gain insights into students’ learning behavior, performance gaps and learning needs,
• Assess and monitor the impact and effectiveness of learning interventions at the individual learner and/or organization level,
• Work with technical team to test and ensure that the e-learning packages are working well in the learning management system,
• Partner with the technical team in training activities that are pedagogy related,
• Develop resources to help end users acquire technical competency in the use of e-learning packages.

[What we are looking for]

• Suitable credentials in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in the field of learning content development / educational technology
• Strong application development, content authoring and IT knowledge skills e.g. JavaScript, Python, Unity, HTML5, CSS, PHP scripting
• Adequate experience with educational technologies including enterprise systems and Generative AI tools for course delivery, content authoring tools with different types of media such as videos, audio and graphics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with emerging technologies in Generative AI, cloud computing, data analytics and new media for learning is an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Technical Support Engineering II is responsible for supporting Field Service Engineers and Customers through the different communication channels adopted.

Strive to resolve difficult problems relating to product deficiencies or user errors within the shortest time.

This role is tasked with maintaining product knowledge within the Tech Support group to manage escalated technical support requests.

The person in this position may also conduct training on products.

• General expert on several Alcon products.
• Generate Knowledge Articles based on the review of trends on service requests.
• Monitor and respond to GTS Now (service hotline and email/ticket support) service requests for the products he/she is trained on.
• Participate in training classes as assisting trainer or trainer in development
• Support in planning, coordinating and defining the content of product-specific training in coordination with all training locations.
• Collaborate with the Training Team when creating or reviewing training content
• Requires occasional travel, 20%

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience

Experience (Years):

• Minimum 3 Years of Relevant Experience in Ophthalmology / Medical Device Industry in Technical Services roles.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing medical device equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A focus on biomedical engineering or medical device technology is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues on medical devices.
• Experience in technical service training to Field Service Engineers.
• Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, and Optical Systems level training.
• Experience with networked products and installing medical devices in networked environments.
