Cyber Security Engineer

• Monday - Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm (remote standby during weekends, public holidays and after working hours)

Job Description:

• Perform remote standby during weekends, public holidays, and after office hours on Monday to Friday.
• Provide phone/email and on-site (if required) support, resolving, mitigation, troubleshooting and investigating issues pertaining to cybersecurity solutions the company has implemented for its clients.
• Log incidents (either via phone or email) into incident management system (ITSM).
• Track and handle all incidents within client’s SLA.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for service recovery and follow through all the necessary escalation to respective team(s).
• Follow up with client on pending tickets for closure.
• Provide daily handover report after each shift.
• Onsite training during office hours as part of onboarding process and occasional trainings to keep up to date with the product

Job Requirements:

• Professional certifications in Information Technology or related fields.
• Experience or knowledge in Microsoft Windows and Server, Microsoft SQL, Networking and Virtualisation is an added advantage.

Position Profile:

Based in: Singapore

The successful candidate will: Responsible to provide adequate IT security to MES and OSA, liaise with MMC IT security team, monitor security logs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work as an IT Security coordinator and security operation centre analyst for ASEAN region.
• Align cyber security needs with the business direction.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Facilitate a comprehensive Cyber Security training, awareness program and business continuity plans.
• Perform IT Security risk assessments, propose and track remediation tasks.

• Conduct audits of internal IT services and 3rd party services, as well work with external auditors on external audits.
• Advise on appropriate cyber security solution & technology trends to be deployed.
• Perform in-depth investigation to determine the root cause of a security incident.
• Conduct analysis of logs from a wide range of systems, such as firewalls, EDR, SIEM, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability management to detect various types of IT-related threats.
• Monitors security event reports and actions; ensuring the appropriate response is performed and coordinated.

Job Scope:

· Point of contact to assist and advise client for any ICT security related

· Lead and support customer in the matter of security incident response and resolution

· Manage, configure and upgrade a wide variety of security technologies (e.g. FW, UTM, IDS/IPS, SWG/SEG, VPN, EPP, DLP, ATP, 2FA, PAM, etc.)

· Respond managed security technologies fault alerts and/or customer escalation

· Use strong fundamental knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP) and product-specific knowledge to perform troubleshooting on common technical issues on the managed security technologies

· Perform escalation to internal product domain experts and/or external product vendors

· Work with internal experts/external vendors to resolve technical issues

· Prepare Incident Reports on high severity incidents

· Respond to inbound Change Requests (CRs), Service Requests (SRs), Queries on managed security technologies, in a timely manner (within stipulated SLA).

· Perform regular configuration backups on managed security technologies

· Plan and coordinate Maintenance Windows with customer on necessary software patching and version upgrades.

· Create and update technical documentations on managed security technologies

· Generate monthly reports according to service scope requirements

· Adhere to policies, procedures and security best practices

· Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedure

Job Requirements:

· A Bachelor degree / Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information System

· At least 5 years’ working experience in IT Infrastructure Operation and/or Support

· Sound fundamental knowledge on IP networking (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, etc.) and operation systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc.)

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a passion for information security

Familiarity with security frameworks, risk management methodologies, security governance, and cybersecurity policy

Proficient understanding of Cyber and IT security risk, threat and prevention measure.

Manage Vulnerabilities and Track Remediation,

Experience in managing Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD, Microsoft Certificate Services and VMware virtualization platform, AD/DNS/ADFS configuration, administration and troubleshooting

Experience in managing Security Hardening for OS, Network and Security Devices such as firewalls

• Experience with Microsoft and Linux technologies

Primary point of contact, and first responder for assigned entity's Cybersecurity matters

Perform security risk assessments, formulate and advise on risk treatment plan
Provide list of security requirements based on data classification and operating environment

Support vendor due-diligence process and help to lead and define overall third-party risk management efforts

Review security testing reports (e.g. vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and secure code review)

Manage and provide technical leadership for Cyber Security project
