Summary of the Role
The ASCC Security Systems Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the global operations by serving as the regional subject matter expert on security systems. This role involves supervising and maintaining security systems and databases, overseeing CCTV systems, and the management of employee badging and visitor systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in software and security systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
- Report directly to the ASCC Manager and work in a team of other Supervisors and Specialists.
- Collaborate with the APAC Global Security team’s Regional Security Heads and other key business partners.
- Serve as a liaison between APAC Security and Security Design and Engineering Technology teams to articulate functional requirements for technical deployments in service of the operations needs
- Coordinate and manage relationships with security system vendors
Security Software Systems Management:
- Assist with the technical oversight of the installation, maintenance, and operation of physical security systems including access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other electronic security systems.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to integrate security systems with other business systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage security system performance. Troubleshooting and dealing with any problems arising with the Security Systems hardware or software, escalating such issues to the approved contracted companies if required.
- Responding to issues identified by the APAC Security Staff and stakeholders in other locations including alarms, reported camera faults, etc., for the APAC region.
- Managing projects such as new country site set up and integration of existing offices systems.
- Maintains reports regarding system downtime, plans for preventative maintenance, and disaster recovery.
- Monitors the performance of servers and ensures that they are running smoothly; this includes checking system logs, monitoring resource usage, and addressing any issues that arise.
Badging and Credentialing:
- Create, issue, and manage employee and contractor badges and credentials, ensuring proper access levels are assigned based on roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular audits of badging and credentialing systems to ensure compliance with security policies.
CCTV System Oversight:
- Manage and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring all cameras are functioning correctly and footage is being recorded and stored as required.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of CCTV systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and coordinate any repairs or maintenance issues to contracted security vendors.
Database Management:
- Manage security-related databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate and analyze security reports, and provide insights and recommendations.
- Provide key performance metrics regarding risk management, service maturity, and service level agreements.
Incident Response and Investigation:
- Assist in responding to security incidents and emergencies.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- 5+ years of experience in a security function through corporate environments. A minimum of 4 years’ experience at an Analyst/Sr Analyst level with responsibility for security systems.
- Substantive technical experience with enterprise-grade global security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, video management, radio over IP, mass notification systems, etc.
- Experience managing projects, budget input, and project updates.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of IT infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Knowledge and experience with ticketing and project management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidates with the following competencies and personal attributes are preferred:
- Master’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is considered
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to physical security and data protection.
- Knowledge of MS Project, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Concur, and/or Big Fix.
- Certification for Lenel, Genetec etc
