We are seeking a highly motivated Security Officer (HQCC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
This unique opportunity will allow the candidate to be exposed to the workings of a growing security company as well as working with an experienced team!
What will you do:
- Monitoring and Coordination: Constantly monitor multiple systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, radio communications, and computer networks, to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
- Provide 1st level desktop, network and application support.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or alarms by assessing the situation, dispatching appropriate personnel or resources, and coordinating response efforts with relevant stakeholders such as emergency services, law enforcement, and medical personnel.
- Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication channels with field personnel, colleagues, and external agencies using various communication devices and platforms, including two-way radios, telephones, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Support and maintain physical security systems such as CCTV, door access etc.
- Maintain and update technical documentation.
- Problem Solving: Quickly analyse complex situations, make critical decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues and minimize disruptions to operations or services.
- Assist with Asset Tracking and Asset Management.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements:
- Possess or currently studying for a diploma/degree in Information Technology field or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems, software, and hardware, including Windows and Mac OS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information, following protocols, and adhering to standard operating procedures are necessary to ensure the reliability and integrity of data and communication processes.
