Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the planning, organizing and executing audits for the Great Eastern Group of Companies. Being part of the Audit team, you will need to provide an independent and objective assurance to improve the Group’s operations.

The Job

· Ensures coverage of relevant regulatory requirements and recommends improvements to corporate policies, procedures and practices;

· Leads or participates in the planning for each audit assignment to ensure performance of audit assignments, quality of reports and timeliness of deliverables;

· Develops audit plans and programs. Ensures that these documents are up-to-date and suitable to the current operating environment of the auditee;

· Ensures timely reporting of findings, risks and recommendations for auditee’s response and finalisation of report to AC (Audit Committee);

· Leads or participates in other ad-hoc assignments including special projects and investigations;

· Assists in the follow-up with auditees on outstanding audit findings through the issuance of Audit Tracking Report and verification of resolved findings;

· Ensures that audit operating standards and procedures are observed, and requirements of the Quality Assurance Review are met;

· Assists in the administration of Group Internal Audit and ensures effective and efficient usage of the Department’s resources;

· Assist the Head of Internal Auditor in ad-hoc assigned non-audit responsibilities (if any); and

· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

· Degree or Masters in Business / Finance / Economics / Other related

· At least 6 years of experience in the financial industry related to financial institution’s asset management such as asset-liability management, investment management or financial risk management.

· Familiar with the regulatory requirements specific to Investment, including MAS Notice 125;

· Experienced in investment asset analysis and usage of systems such as Eagle investment system;

· Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills;

· Analytical, independent and a good team player;

· Committed and able to interact well with all levels of staff;

· Proficient in oral and written English;

· Able to travel overseas when required (once/ twice every quarter); and

· High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.

This position reports to Team Lead, Business Processing (Group Insurance Operations), and the key role is to carry out the daily tasks of the business processing function, perform supervisory function and to innovate the business unit’s progression.

The Job

· Issuance of policy contracts and endorsements

· Issuance of policy adjustment, member movement

· Responsible for premiums computation and experience refund

· Ensure tax invoices/endorsement schedules/medical cards are issued timely

· Ensure the accuracy of records entries & proper documentation

· Perform supervisory function and guidance to junior staff for service excellence

· Participate in departmental projects and initiatives, with User Acceptance Testing prior to deployment of changes in system

· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

· Manage escalations and communications with policyholders and intermediaries and third party administrators

· Provide reviews and updates to SOP to incorporate changes from regulations and best practices.

· At least Degree from recognized institution.

· Preferred at least 5 years relevant experience specializing in Group Insurance administration/business processing.

· Applicant along with experience in supervisory function will be an advantage.

Job Purpose

The candidate is expected to work on the Regional IFRS17 Programme as a Data Mapper cum Business Analyst. The Programme is implementing solutions for compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards for Insurance Industry which the Company targets to go live in January 2023 for Singapore & Malaysia entities and 2 years later for Indonesia entities.

The candidate’s key role to be performed in the SDLC is to elicit and analyse data requirements, provide technical translation to business requirements captured in mapping documents for Extract Transform and Load (ETL), conduct System Integration Test (SIT), and support Users’ Acceptance Test (UAT) and user training. The candidate is also expected to follow our Group IT Application Processes, Standards & Procedures.

The Job

· Facilitate / conduct workshops for business users to identify project requirements. Gather, analyse, document and follow up on user requirements.

· Perform data mapping from source to target data fields by understanding the core IFRS17 requirements, software solution and how to implement this within Great Eastern Finance and Actuarial business teams.

· Based on the requirements, generate artefacts needed for solution generation. These artefacts include – Data Mapping specification for ETL purposes, integration/interface specifications, site-map and page-flow, and the usage of UML diagram to detail the process flow and solution.

· Build an understanding on IFRS17 product and configuration in order to support the business during configuration and build phase. Ability to analyse and pull out data from database to analyse situations to support configuration.

· Work with IFRS17 solution vendor on System Unit testing.

· Hands on planning and execution of functional test cases, perform execution of System Integration Test (SIT) cutting across source data teams and outbound systems.

· Support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regular tracking of test progress status and defect management.

· Develop IFRS17 and contribute towards insurance-specific SME knowledge for group-wide knowledge management

Our Requirements

a) Qualifications

· Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Finance / Insurance degree

· Certified Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent)

· Certified Agile / Scrum practitioner will be an added advantage

b) Working Experience

· Minimum 4-5 years working experience in IT preferably in Insurance industry and experience handling projects or BAU in Insurance core systems or Finance systems

· Minimum 3 years ETL data mapping experience in Insurance domain and Financial reporting systems

· Strong understanding of how legacy systems relate/interface with each other

· Ability to translate business requirements documentation into data requirements and source-to-target data mappings

· Understanding of data models and ETL processing

· Familiarity with application programming and data model design processes

· Experience in using SQL to profile data prior to mapping

· Comfortable with handling data analysis via database queries – Hive SQL query execution on Hadoop platform

· Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL database added advantage to support business, testing, troubleshooting etc

· Must be able to provide Sample data mapping documents

· Experience in Data Warehouse a plus

· Good understanding of IFRS4 or IFRS17 is an advantage

· Good Insurance domain knowledge and knowledge of insurance products is preferred
