Job Requirements

• Bachelor or Masters in any engineering related discipline
• PMP certifications or equivalent is advantageous
• Proven track record of executing multiple successful projects
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in project management experience in related field (R&D, engineering)
• Strong business acumen, driven to deliver customer requirements and project deadlines
• Outstanding project management capabilities; i.e. planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, stakeholder management, resource management
• Knowledge and understanding of re-manufacturing techniques and limitations

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and Control of delivery schedule of conversion working vessels within budget with responsibility for high productivity and performance with the project manager.
• Take precautions to prevent troubles on working vessels in the conversion stage.
• Handle operational issues, repairs, and/or modifications to working vessels.
• Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, shipyards, and vendors to modify vessels needed for the offshore wind turbine installation operation.
• Check and ensure that the specifications comply with Japanese relevant laws and regulations.
• Check and ensure that spare parts inventory management and condition are sufficient to support repair and maintenance.
• Ensure quality, environment, health & safety requirements are met.
• Report the status of the project to the headquarters in Japan.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical or shipbuilding engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising a work vessel such as TSHD, cutter suction dredger, and/or grab dredger.
• Well-versed in relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience in engineering and planning of a new building project for an offshore wind turbine installation vessel with GustoMSC Jacking system with a preload capacity of over 9000 tons.
• Experience in engineering and planning of a new crane installation project with a lifting capacity of 1600 tons or more.
• Experience in working at civil construction project sites.
• Experience in planning electrical equipment.
• Experience in working at offshore wind turbine installation sites.
• Good knowledge of Electrical circuit diagrams and Programmable Logic Controllers and programming such as PLC ladder, function block etc.
• Well-versed in ship maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• To plan and setting schedules and budgets.
• Keep abreast of progress and provide instructions to ensure work is carried out as planned.
• Able to manage budgets and procure and manage materials and equipment appropriately.
• Formulate plans, check progress and control quality.
• To check Ship design drawings and technical specifications
• Confirm compliance with IMO, classification standards (ClassNK) and inspections (JG) stipulated by the Japanese government and comply with technical standards.
• Safe work planning by setting workplace safety rules and engaging in safety training.
• To prepare progress reports and report it to head office.
• Maintain appropriate technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Identifying and resolving problems occurring in the field and proposing improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Facilitate coordination with relevant parties (shipyards, classification societies, manufacturers, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
• Thorough control and rapid response in spare parts stock management, repairs and maintenance.
• Manage work teams, liaise with other departments, and coordinate effectively with clients.
• Communicate and cooperate with shipyard personnel and ship's crew, and able to identify root causes and suggest appropriate countermeasures in resolving problems.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years of experience operating and maintaining working vessels in the owner's capacity.
• Experience in working at civil construction sites.
• Experience in shipbuilding such as TSHD or any other type of work vessels.
• Construction using a large floating crane (SWL 3,000t or more).
• Experience in dredging works using TSHDs, Cutter suction dredgers, and or Grab dredgers.
• Experience in reclamation works using TSHDs.
• Experience in planning electrical equipment.
• Good knowledge of Electrical circuit diagrams.
• Good knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and programming such as PLC ladder, function block etc.
• Well-versed in ship maintenance requirements.
• Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive troubleshooting/finding root cause with the ship's crew on board.
