Roles & Responsibilities:
- To direct and manage polymers product line functions in respect to Asia Pacific marketing program. The functions include but not limited to product/ market profile, marketing plan, polymer/inventory balance, product line/application development, quality and services complaints management and competitive pricing activities.
- To direct and provide supply chain management on marketing/sales operations including coordination with customer services and logistics operations.
- To engage with market research publication companies, perform data analytics on price and market fundamentals (demand & supply, import and export statistics, upstream petrochemical landscape).
- Understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, rules, regulations etc.
- Develop and updates Sales and Marketing standard operating procedures.
- Understand and comply with all the company's quality system, participating in quality workgroup, quality audits, quality training etc.
- Initiate, identify and manage solutions through designated channels for any non-conformities relating to product or business processes, verifying the implementation of the solutions and controlling further processing or delivery of the non-conforming process or product until the defect has been rectified. Ensures that proper documentation of corrective actions is maintained.
- By example, supports the company's commitment to achieve total customer satisfaction in every area of our business by actively participating in: (a) all Quality matters of awareness, training, and implementation, and (b) serving as a member of the Region Quality Improvement Team.
- Co-ordinate and drives Asia monthly marketing and operating plan.
- Manages market/product portfolio consistent with marketing plans and profit objectives.
- Directs the preparation, review and consolidation of key information including monthly sales forecasts, quarterly marketing progress reviews, annual marketing objectives, strategic plans and marketing expense budgets.
- Reviews and assist major advertising and sales promotional programs, including participation in Industry Exhibitions.
- Formulates and implements sales plans and communicates such plans with management, manufacturing and other business functions and provides effective coordinating work with manufacturing plants, marketing services, planning and budgeting, and other supporting units.
- Maintains contact with major customers and potential customers, governmental agencies, sales agents, leading chemical companies, and industry associations with the objective of maintaining excellent customer relations and be professionally well informed.
- Participates in the product development as a specification committee member.
- Manage supply chain functions such as Asia region sales forecast, product scheduling, inventory optimization, polymer balance and external warehouses operation.
- Responsible for the various product sources’ regular supply program including Transfer price, quantity and ASO trading margin when needed. Handle spot sales opportunity as when needed.
- Responsible for Asia Weekly One-liner Report to HQ and participate in International S&OP meeting as required.
- Develop and review product profitability/performance by tracking industrial feedstock and polymer prices (eg Platt, ICIS), Products Cash cost, Cash Margin, Packaging/Logistic costs, order backlog and key accounts analysis.
- Develop and review product supply and demand analysis regularly and monitor all new capacity in Asia.
- Responsible for Asia Product/Service Quality Complaint Administration and to coordinate with all affected departments for all follow up and review.
- Responsible for SOX Monthly Self-Auditing Pricing Process and to report any nonconformance. Revise the selling price process according to SOX requirements.
- Responsible for Asia Business Scorecard Update and analysis.
Requirements:
- Minimum education: Degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields.
- At least 6 years in commercial and/or logistics related role.
- Knowledge in SAP and strong in Microsoft Office such as Excel and Power Point are preferred.
- Good interpersonal, strong organizational and planning skills.
- Effective verbal/written communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Data Collection and Analysis; knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI is an added advantage.
