Job purpose:
- The role is part of the Local Regulatory Reporting team ensuring that we meet all the local reporting requirements to various regulators in Singapore. That includes local statutory reporting for Singapore entities.
- To act as the key contact for the local financial reporting of the entities located in Singapore both internally and towards the regulators
- To closely liaise with local Finance team to both understand the financials and update the local team of any developments and issues arising from own area of responsibility
- To actively work on and drive Finance-related projects and to coordinate efforts within the region on over-arching projects
- To assist the department in meeting its overall objectives and to contribute ideas to meet the requirements of the Finance Department
- To ensure regional data integrity of Finance data by defining and communicating accounts statics
- Any other GM-F related topics as assigned by the Head of Finance
- To be fit and proper and act with integrity in accordance with the Bank’s Code of Conduct
Key activities:
- Responsible for the quality, quantity and timeliness of all Local Regulatory and Statutory Reporting for the Singapore entities
- To provide accounting related advice and support to the business units through the diagnosis of financial issues and the proposal of solutions
- Act as the main contact for the entities under own responsibility for monthly reporting, liaison with MAS, internal and external auditors and other departments where appropriate.
- Performing regular analysis of movements within the entities under responsibility
- Regional coordinator for local reporting application and report writing tool; constantly enhancing reporting functionalities by using and proactively drive upgrading of existing application
- To prepare and coordinate daily monitoring of various regulatory limits and ratios
- Work closely with other areas of the department to provide additional ad hoc reports
- Take active role in departmental projects as they arise
- Key to performing this role is an ability to work both independently to meet the local reporting deadlines and alongside team members to meet the additional responsibilities. Further, good communication skills are required, both verbal and written, for interaction with key stakeholders such as MAS, ACRA, internal and external auditors and other departments
- To ensure that global policies and local regulations are adhered to at all times and are kept up to date with any developments in the business
Formal education:
Degree Holder (or equivalent)
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- Experience in Accounting and Finance
- Knowledge of IFRS and SFRS. Knowledge of German GAAP HGB (preferred)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Process orientated with ability to analyse and recommend / drive improvements
- Service orientated to key clients and stakeholders
- Able to work with minimum supervision and under time pressure with tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office applications, SSRS and SAP knowledge beneficial
- Proficient in MAS reporting requirements for holders of various kinds of banking licences (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Axiom Controller View (ACV) (preferred)
