• Min 8 years of Business Analyst experience
• Plan the requirements elicitation phase and get alignment with the PM and client on the end-to-end delivery of the project
• Work closely with the product owner and SMEs to gain in-depth understanding of value chain, business strategy, processes, services, project roadmap and the context in which the business operates.
• Facilitate discovery workshops with the purpose of understanding the as-is process flow, pain points and desired features for to-be state
• Agree the review and sign-off process with product owner and PM
• Assess the business processes in-depth and identify opportunities to streamline the processes by reducing wastes and leveraging Salesforce features

• Conduct technical assessment with technical architect/lead to identify custom vs standard functionalities on the proposed to-be state
• Lead product owner and sponsor in custom versus standard discussions and do a rapid POC on standard functionalities if required
• Engage product owner and key stakeholders from client side to prioritize epics and develop a release plan
• Flag the operational and technological risks for the proposed target and in-transition to-be state
• Work closely with UX designer on the prototype where project has a dedicated UX resource
• Work with the PM and the product owner to lead or participate in user story estimation sessions.
• Run requirements grooming sessions with product owner and SMEs to develop acceptance criteria for the user stories.
• Work with the technical team to break down large user stories to small sprint size stories.
• Be a point of contact for the technical team to provide clarification on user stories where required.
• Foster collaboration between business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical architect/lead, developers and testers

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand and analyse the requirements related to OMS and Custodian systems for US brokerages and translate them into detailed system requirements documents.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements and produce comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), ensuring that trading systems meet business and regulatory needs.
• Conduct thorough analysis of trading, clearing, and settlement processes for brokerages, optimising workflows in OMS and Custodian systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations.
• Work closely with development teams and solution architects to provide detailed requirements guidance, assisting in the design of technical solutions that align with business needs.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test cases, and ensure that the system functionalities meet business requirements while managing issue tracking and resolution.
• Stay updated on changes in the US regulatory environment, particularly in relation to OMS and Custodian systems, and work with the compliance team to ensure systems adhere to the latest requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing system enhancements by providing recommendations based on business changes and technological developments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with in-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with US Order Management Systems (OMS) and Custodian systems.
• Strong understanding of US securities market regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and DTC.
• Proven ability to gather and analyse business requirements, document workflows, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Proficient in business analysis and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).

Scope of Work

a. Analyse business needs, scope the problem and develop business case to address the problem

b. Document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives, and recommend solution

c. Work with vendor on the solutions and design to seek clarification and acceptance.

d. Work with users to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of new solution

e. Perform business analysis functions such as:

i. Identify stakeholders, techniques and processes to manage, track and trace requirements

ii. Refine and clarify business need, define solution scope and develop business case

iii. Assess current state, analyse stated requirements of stakeholders and elaborate to sufficient detail that accurately defines business need with in specified scope

iv. Source and evaluate alternatives to identify solution that best fits business need, identify gaps, and determine workarounds/changes to the solution.

v. Manage conflicts, issues and changes to ensure stakeholders and project team remain in agreement on solution scope, communicate and manage expectations of stakeholders

f. Assess business needs for service requests and the impact of enhancements to the system

g. Assess problem resolution approach and implement effective service recovery of ICT incidents and establish systems and processes to prevent recurrence of the same incident

h. Understand the IT management policy, quality management policy and security guidelines to ensure the development processes, procedures and system are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines

Knowledge and Skills

a. Hands-on experience in at least 1 full project development life cycles

b. Business Analysis experience

c. Advantageous to have:

i. Prior knowledge in the system solutioning, development for mid and large-scale IT development projects

ii. Software development experience is in Python, Typescript, MongoDB, Postgresql, React, Node, Express.

c. Team player with strong organization and people handling skills

d. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders
