Role Overview
You will lead the APAC business continuity programme, oversee crisis and event management, as well as the management of BCM systems and tools.
Support execution of the region’s facilities and significant business initiatives or projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the corporate wide business continuity program that addresses disaster recovery (DR), business recovery and emergency response management
- Lead the implementation of end-to-end business continuity programme activities and tests in the region to validate the recovery strategies of the businesses and functions on a regular basis
- Work with business functions and relevant stakeholders to conduct periodic business impact analysis, identify recovery requirements, develop and implement recovery plans in the event of a business disruption across the APAC region.
- Monitor and communicate potential threats that may impact operations or staff in the region
- Provide management support in the event of a business disruption to manage the response coordination and communications
- Develop and deliver BCM trainings and awareness program to stakeholders, and ensure completion of mandatory BCM training
- Maintain BCM systems and data
- Regularly update the Regional Crisis Management Plan, as required
- Document any issues experienced and lessons learned in a business disruption and track the progress to resolve open issues
- Foster relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Work closely with EMEA and AMER regional leads to align on the Group’s BCM framework for the region
- Facilitate BCM and Facilities risk assessments such as Control Attestation, Risk Self Assessment, Stress Testing, and review of Risk Metrics and Controls
- Maintain critical assets register for the region
- Provide regular BCM and facilities program status reports to Group, regional and local management
- Support regional facilities projects, significant business initiatives or ad-hoc task as assigned
Experience / Competences
Essential
· At least 5 – 7 years’ of relevant experience in the financial sector and demonstrated involvement in Business Continuity Management or Crisis Management
· Experience in developing and supporting APAC business continuity programs
· Good understanding in the areas of Technology Resilience, APAC Regulatory BCM guidelines, financial services and products.
· Strong critical and analytical skills, with attention to details
· Strong team player as well as an independent contributor
· Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
· Excellent verbal, written, presentation and basic project management skills
· Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc).
Desired
· Certifications related to business continuity or disaster recovery (e.g. BIA, DRI, BCI) are beneficial.
