The Landscape Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating all aspects of landscaping projects, working closely with site personnel, consultants, clients, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of landscaping works. This role involves planning and scheduling landscaping activities in alignment with the project timeline, liaising with authorities to meet design requirements and obtain necessary approvals, and preparing work proposals and costing. The Project Coordinator also tracks project activities through to completion.
Role and Responsibilities
Client and Stakeholder Communication
· Attend client meetings to gather and clarify project requirements.
· Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates.
· Escalate issues promptly to ensure timely resolution.
Technical and Administrative Support
· Provide technical guidance and support to the site team.
· Collaborate with various departments to facilitate project administration.
· Maintain thorough documentation and records of all project activities.
· Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with project plans.
Costing and Procurement
· Collect and organize quotes for materials, services, and equipment.
· Manage procurement processes, including creating and maintaining control documents and coordinating purchase orders.
· Develop and manage project schedules, including deliveries and sub-contractor coordination.
· Ensure contract compliance by managing documentation, regulatory requirements, and close-out procedures.
Project Coordination
· Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop detailed sub-contractor schedules.
· Support proposal opportunities by searching for, evaluating, and coordinating with other departments.
· Assist in construction administration activities by organizing, tracking, and reporting on contract compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, Horticulture, or a related discipline is often preferred.
· Previous experience in landscaping, quantity surveyor or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscaping techniques.
· Leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
