The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a local Retail company (with a presence in Western countries) and we are looking for a dynamic individual to join their business as a Category Product Management Lead. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the CEO to drive assortment revenue, profit growth and oversee the entire product lifecycle. The successful incumbent will lead a team and drive the strategic vision for the product portfolio.
- Permanent, full-time role
- Work location: East Region
- Work hours: 9am - 6pm
The Job:
- Grow revenue and profit while building an assortment strategy based on market trends
- Spearhead the development and expansion of product categories
- Take ownership of creating and maintaining category plans, define and execute product roadmaps, ensuring a well-balanced product assortment
- Oversee daily operations of product development processes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify market trends and consumer likings to create new and innovative products
- Liaise with creative teams to market category positioning and create effective marketing campaigns to increase sales revenue
- Partner with product design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to turn product ideas into physical products for consumer purchase
- Recruit, lead, inspire, and develop the team to foster business and talent growth
The Talent:
- Minimally 6 years of relevant experience in product category management coupled with a strong background in buying, merchandising, product development, and category management/expansion. Additional knowledge of the US retail market is a definite plus.
- Ability to be hands-on in operations, highly driven and motivated, with strong track records in the execution of strategies to bring about positive change to the business.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with native Chinese-speaking counterparts based in China.
