The product manager drives the development of key bancassurance-focused products.
Job Description:
The product manager is responsible for product design, implementation, product launch and post-launch product review and maintenance.
- The product design stage will include competitive analysis against similar bancassurance products in the market, as well as working with other LBUs in the region for product ideas. In instances where there is limited product information available, product manager will need to engage reinsurance for experience sharing.
- Engage stakeholders through product proposition presentations and soliciting product feedback from Partnership distribution to work with pricing team and reinsurers to develop products that meet customer’s needs while achieving business objectives.
- The implementation stage may include engaging the Product Development Team (PDT – a team made up of members from all departments who will be involved in the product launch) to ensure that systems are ready for the launch. During the implementation stage, the product manager is also responsible for preparing documents for the Product Committee Team (PGC – a team made up of the company’s EXCO members) for product approval, and subsequently the regional office (Group).
- During the launch stage, the product manager is responsible to review that all marketing collaterals (e.g. brochures, product pack, website, etc.) and any launch communications for product accuracy. The product manager is also responsible for Train the Trainer sessions if there is mandatory training for the launch.
- Post launch on-going maintenance of products to meet regulatory and Group guidelines.
- The Product Manager will also be exposed to bancassurance products though the management of product queries, regular product market scan and answering of media and ESG related queries.

Working Experience
- 3-5 years of life insurance, preferably in a product or project management role.
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand complex life insurance product levers
- Ability to independently complete basic and moderately complex projects/studies
- Prior experience with sales tracking, illustration software, financial analysis, competitive analysis, distribution surveys is helpful.
- Good spoken and written communication as well as articulate interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team effectively while managing tight timelines, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Degree in Marketing / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or related discipline
