SDLC and Runtime focuses on delivering engineer-first, scalable platforms for job scheduling, Compute-as-a-Service, file transfer, firmwide software distribution and software development, including CI/CD (Gitlab ecosystem).

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a suite of products that provides build and deploy tooling for Engineers in the firm. It provides a modern, secure and highly available plant that facilitates source control, code review, build, test and production activation.
• Distributed Scheduling (Runtime) offers scalable, highly available and efficient platforms and services for job scheduling, grid computing, Compute-as-a-Service, file transfer and software distribution across the firm.

Primary customer base for SDLC and Runtime are Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and Private Wealth Management (PWM). Also significant customer usage in the Infrastructure Group (Core Engineering).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

What you will do

• Own technical operations for systems that manage hundreds of thousands of CPU cores
• Build observability for new deployments to ensure robustness from day one, as well as mature deployments to identify and implement improvements
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based replacements for legacy bare-metal installations
• Dig into issues with block devices, file descriptors, and packet loss; lead real-time outage investigations and present postmortems to senior management

What you have

• Comfort in a programming language: we're primarily Python 3 and Go -- with some Scala and Erlang, interest in Rust -- but believe in the best tool for the job and care about analytical thinking more than specific syntax familiarity
• Tales of tcpdump and strace: our modern code leverages Jaeger/OpenTracing to ease debugging, but first-principles Linux systems and networking knowledge is a must
• Interest in SLOs/SLIs: continually executing an application's "typical user journey" to store health metrics in a time-series database is invaluable for us and has support from the C-suite
• Curiosity: no hesitation before consulting the source or ssh'ing to an unfamiliar machine (or a thousand) when documentation is insufficient or charts don't make sense; "if a human built this, a human can figure it out"
• Pragmatism: desire for long-term strategic ideals paired with awareness of when it's appropriate for immediate-term fixes to add tech debt

Job Purpose

The role is expected to supervise and manage followings;

• reporting of Specialised Products Dept. performance against budget in Asia Pacific and East Asia region, through communication with front groups in Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong.
• the control and monitoring of forecast Department performance for both P&L and Balance Sheet, Profit, Funded Assets, Risk Assets and Commitment, Expense, KPIs and etc.
• implement new internal framework for sustainable department operation (ad-hoc).
• consider and implement new product /business /initiatives together with internal stakeholders
• This role also requires the coordination with relevant departments including Tokyo Head Office for various type of reporting and setting of rules related to new business development.
• Any other initiatives or projects as instructed by Co-GMs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation of reports relating to P/L and B/S in both Asia Pacific and East Asia Region and enhance the control and analysis of regional result / forecast.
• Supervise preparation of various meeting materials and Department level reporting, including Asia Pacific and East Asia Region for key management meetings, periodic accounting reports to Head Office, etc.
• Supervise in the preparation of KPI target with each front groups of SPD; and monitor the progress of each items..
• Supervise the preparation of annual expense / fixed asset budget including engagement with each front groups of Specialised Products Dept.; and assist control of subsequent budget utilization.
• Supervise on enforcement of the Head Office / Regional rule and management framework.
• Initiation, guidance, and delivery on achievement for more efficient Department Operation.
• Initiation, guidance, and delivery on implementation of new products /businesses /initiatives.
• Initiation, guidance, and delivery of any other initiatives or projects as instructed by Co-GMs.

Requirements

• At least a relevant Diploma or university degree
• Proficient MS office.
• Have experience at least 10 years of relevant experience in product financing in front office is essential.
• Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken in English.
• Be able to prepare periodic report in Excel / Word / Powerpoint format.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Team player, able to work across all levels of the organization.
• Be self-motivated and able to drive your work through actively exploring solution for various planning matters.
• Team oriented, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous as this role needs to negotiate and make presentations to relevant departments in Head Office.
• Experience in planning work, such as budgeting, controlling, or monitoring about performance of department, including Gross Profit, Expense, and any resource management on department / group level.
• Set KPI target, build Business Plan, monitor the progress of each items.

As Treasury Services Product head within the ASEAN Payments franchise, you will be responsible to deepen market share for six markets in ASEAN and execute the commercialization strategy. We are looking for a strategic thinker with the ability to develop differentiated solutions and deliver execution. In addition to having oversight responsibilities for Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, you will be directly responsible for Singapore Treasury Services Product. In this client-facing role, you will report to the ASEAN Payments Head and work closely with Product, Sales, and functional partners on client strategy, investment roadmap and resiliency. In addition, you will be required to front regulatory bodies and participate in industry-led initiatives from time-to-time.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive and execute the commercialization agenda for ASEAN markets, including the lobbying for technology investments; the ability to understand and assess market, macro-economic and regulatory dynamics will be critical

• Specifically for Singapore Treasury Services, manage product development and solutioning

• Collaborate with Coverage, Sales and Solutions Specialists in solutioning, risk-assessment, pitching and executing client mandates

• Partner closely with Finance, Legal and Risk functional colleagues to ensure product delivery is seamless and can be adapted to meet bespoke client needs

• Support regional and global stakeholders on product strategy and management related tasks including, product build-out and new booking locations and jurisdictions

• Lead country stakeholders on enhancing controls, system resiliency and governance

• Participate in industry initiatives led by Singapore BCS and ABS, and engage with regulatory bodies including the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Economic Development Board

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking or other related disciplines

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Cash Management Product space;

• Knowledge of Working Capital Management and Foreign-Exchange is a-must, in addition to Compliance, Controls and Legal aspects

• Track record in client solutioning and supporting request-for-proposal process

• Track record in lobbying for technology investments and commercialization strategy

• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across Coverage, Sales, Service, Operations and Technology with strong influencing skills

• Ability to front regulatory bodies and participate/ lead industry-wide initiatives

• People management experience including matrix and remote reporting

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

• Prior experience in Trade Finance or Merchant Acquiring will be a bonus

• Experience on Agile product development

• Ability to navigate a global/ matrix organization set-up

• Willingness to travel intra-Asia and beyond
