The role

You will be responsible for shaping the SaaS strategy of PowerSell and all other parts of our Ecommerce tech stack, leading to a successful market launch. This includes:

Pre-Launch:

• Thoroughly understand our comprehensive suite of ecommerce tech solutions
• Market research: engage with different potential B2B client types in the SEA market (brands, agencies, distributors, sellers) partially through our industry network and partially by your own outreach, to understand their needs and pain points, which solutions they are using today (the competitive landscape), and how our solutions compare feature-by-feature and overall.
• Build a model to estimate the market opportunity for different solutions and client segments
• Roadmap: Based on all info on client needs, the competitive landscape and market dynamics, industry data & trends, facilitate the decision-making process with our leadership team on which client segments and which solutions / needs to prioritize in our development roadmap, balancing internal requirements vs SaaS requirements to ensure the roadmap aligns with the overall business goals.
• Create the business case and requirements for a successful go to market

Launch:

• Develop go-to-market strategy, pricing models, messaging, and positioning strategies in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders, and successfully launch the product(s) in the market, meeting the needs of the targeted clients

Post Launch:

• Monitor the product performance using relevant metrics and KPIs
• Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and iterate on the product strategy as needed.
• Analyse market trends and client behaviour to adapt the product strategy to changing market conditions.

This role can evolve in a SaaS BD / GM role, or a Product Management role depending on the profile and career ambitions of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management & Marketing Activities:

Roles & Responsibilities

· Champion the Air Conditioner product by executing the product vision and strategy

· Bring expertise and deep knowledge of market needs, identify unspoken pain points and problems

· Stay updated on industry standards and regulations and monitor market trends for sustainable innovation

· Constantly evaluate and enhance product strategy to increase sales and profitability

· Look at Profit and Loss analysis and profit improvement. Analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance profitability

· Thoroughly research markets and competitors to understand implications and develop an action plan

· Lead the ideation, solution creation, and value positioning by leveraging technical acumen

· Compare competitors’ products through benchmarking, analyzing specifications, and pricing

· Drive Product Portfolio Management (PPM) and Product Road Map (PRM) through optimal product mix and pricing strategies for profitable growth

· Provide critical inputs to New Product Development (NDP) / New Product Introduction (NPI) programs during the preparation phase. Act as the liaison between local teams, the SEAO office in Singapore, and the Suwon office in South Korea for alignment to ensure successful product launches

· Develop and implement product launch plans for the Air Conditioner line-up in partnership with local country teams

· Provide product-related inputs for marketing collaterals such as manuals, catalogs, websites, white papers, etc.

· Enhance supply forecasting and product life cycle management processes in line with the product strategy

· Support day-to-day operations for product-related issues and proactively work with key stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

· 6+ years’ experience in product management/development in relevant industries

· Strong business acumen and commercial mindset to connect technology, product features, and customer benefits

· Experience in international, multi-cultural / multi-layered, dynamic environment

· Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

· Agility and resilience to work and influence within the Samsung matrix environment at a local, regional, and global level

As a Product Manager, Generative AI you will lead the development and deployment of AI solutions across Rakuten’s business units. This role requires a blend of AI expertise and business acumen to integrate advanced AI technologies into our products. The ideal candidate has a strong product management background, a proven track record of bringing innovative tech solutions to market, and experience with data science, machine learning, and natural language processing. This strategic role demands navigating product development from conception to launch while leveraging AI innovations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical and business leaders to align the AI for Business Department's strategic direction with organization-wide Generative AI initiatives.
• Define product vision, strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
• Assume or support the product owner role, identify and prioritize high-potential, innovative and impactful Generative AI use cases or application features, in close coordination with business experts, accelerating their development and implementation.
• Define and oversee the creation of rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts for Generative AI applications, ensuring they meet business needs.
• Lead the planning to scale and develop successful Generative AI experiments, prototypes and proof-of-concepts into robust AI solutions.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are fully understood and integrated into the development process.
• Monitor product performance and user feedback to continuously refine and improve product offerings.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and thought leadership materials for Generative AI initiatives to engage internal and external stakeholders.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in product management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficient in Agile development methodologies and familiar with project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Independent and autonomous work style, capable of navigating complex organizational structures and driving results.
• Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset, demonstrating the ability to lead through innovation and critical analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in product management of technology or AI-driven products.
• Proven expertise in leading and successfully executing complex technology programs or products from concept through to launch.
• Experience in setting strategic direction and uncovering new opportunities for impact within large organizations.
• Experience in developing or contributing to data science or analytics projects, including prior hands-on experience with AI/ML model development, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the entire product development lifecycle—from initial planning and analysis through to deployment and optimization of machine learning models.
• Any proficiency in Japanese language will be advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS
