The Technology Development department comprises of diverse groups of curious, world class engineering specialists. The department encompasses specialist groups across different disciplines – Product Performance, Acoustics, Fluid Dynamics, Structural Dynamics, Thermodynamics. This role resides within the Product Performance group, which provides the technical analysis of medical devices product performance.

About the role

This position is recognized as a subject matter expert and looked upon to provide technical leadership in the wider organization and location. This individual is expected to lead cross functional team to resolve technical challenges that can span multiple projects and/or products, while demonstrating effective technical management skills. As a technical leader for the team, this individual shall provide crucial inputs towards the long-term technology roadmap for the team. The ability to effectively communicate and possibly take a leadership role in preparing and presenting complex ideas, design concepts, proposal, procedures, project and technical reviews is considered critical for success in this role.

• Identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflow, optimizing productivity and reducing time-to-market for projects.
• Enhance team expertise by continuously developing the technical knowledge of the Product Performance Team to remain at the forefront of the field through training and knowledge exchange programs.
• Deliver comprehensive system solutions for product performance in close collaboration with design teams, medical safety teams and Project Leadership Team, taking ownership of the process to ensure successful outcomes.
• Expertise in root cause analysis techniques and the ability to map out complex issues to propose potential solutions to these issues.
• Systematically gather information to establish facts and principles for solving complex problems spanning multiple projects or disciplines, even without precedents.
• Assess multiple technical viewpoints independently and determine the technical direction for projects/issues/risks.
• Strong organization and project planning skills to manage multiple high-priority tasks and resources concurrently.
• As a technical leader in your discipline, you will have the opportunity to manage the development plans and provide coaching to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth within the field.
• Expected to proactively identify areas of improvement and to propose and implement improvements in projects and processes.

About you

• A Masters degree in Aerodynamics/Mechanical engineering or equivalent, PhD holders are welcome to apply.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical product analysis & development, preferably in the medical devices industry.
• In-depth knowledge on the principles and application of statistical analysis.
• In-depth knowledge in the field of structural dynamics and experimental testing.
• Proficiency in utilizing Simscape and a solid understanding of 1D modeling techniques are desirable.
• Experience in hardware and software for measurement and data acquisition (e.g. Flow meters, National Instruments, FLIR, Electronics Tester, etc) would be useful.
• Experience in Image analysis would be useful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Skilled in managing diverse stakeholders and resolving conflicts.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma and aptitude relevant to Broadcast Engineering (specializing in Broadcast Engineering, including System / Audio Engineering / IT or any other related area).

Safety Knowledge: Good knowledge of the principles of safety at work as applied in the TV industry.

Understanding of OB Systems: Understanding of Outside Broadcast systems and environment.

Knowledge and experience of operating and troubleshooting a range of OB equipment in sound, communication, IP, etc.

Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in Outside Broadcast Environment.

Event Experience: Experience with internatinal scale events is necessary.

Job Scopes: (Before, During & After Project)

Review the operations of the Engineering Department to ensure the quality of broadcast operations meet industry standards.

Remain up-to-date with outdoor broadcast technology and equipment.

Guide the Assistant Engineers to read technical (Auto CAD) engineering drawings and plan for their training where needed.

Ensure procedure for video equipment testing and preparation is in place.

Ensure adequate processes are in place for communication / escalation of technical related problems that arise during a project.

Keep Engineering environment (Warehouse, Engineering Room and desks) clean, functional, safe and presentable.

Ensure compliance of engineering procedures with Health & Safety guidelines.

Supervise and schedule maintenance of specific categories of broadcast equipment to ensure the equipment are fully functional and well maintained (internally and externally clean/dust-free).

Monitor physical and technical quality and appearance of broadcast equipment. Prepare the maintenance & improvement report.

Plan and maintain a list of specific categories of broadcast equipment which require scheduled maintenance.

• Salary: Up to $3100 + Allowance + AWS + VB
• Location: Senoko South Road（Sembawang Area）, transport provided

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for production operation activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing process.
• Liaise with cross functional department on effective corrective/preventive actions, including carry out improvement activities such as process optimization, benchmarking, etc through various statistical tools and software.
• Handle audit in accordance with TS/IATF & ISO and OHSAS requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years with relevant experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on TS/IATF 16949, OHSAS18001, ISO14001, SPC, FMEA and TPM will be added advantage.
• Willing to work overtime when needed
• Require putting on jumpsuit and protective mask as Personal Protective Equipment whenever it is necessary.
