Contract Period: From 01 March 2024 to 28 February 2025 with Option to Extend a further period of 12 months.
Working hours:
• Mondays to Fridays: 7:00am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break.
• Service not required on Saturdays (unless required by the school), Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services:
MAIN ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
These duties will form the bulk of the job, and will include the following:
• Working together with ICT Manager in the procurement process of Audio Visual (AV) equipment, including requests for quotations, evaluation and advising the relevant personal on the recommended procurement, including technical specifications and market pricing.
• Oversee maintenance and organisation of AV equipment and infrastructure to ensure its long term serviceability.
• Provide recommendation of new AV equipment that will meet school’s long term development needs.
• Support ICT Manager in project management (AV systems related) with external suppliers, partners & relevant school staff for timely & cost-effective project delivery according to the required standards.
• Assist ICT Manager in maintaining accurate & regular progress reports and documentation related to AV Assets and ICT projects.
• Assist ICT Manager in planning & management of AVPA assets & resources, including loan, replacement & condemnation.
• Maintain school owned ICT devices, working in tandem with MDM solutions, and support staff and students in the loan and use of mentioned devices.
• Monitor availability of AV peripheral stock (consumables/non consumables).
• Work with the Applied Learning Programme committee to provide technical support in the form of AV recording
• Provide 1st line of AV support for all student and staff-related programmes, activities & meetings held in school.
• Oversee the management, serviceability & updating of the school’s digital signage system.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
These duties will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Support AVPA CCA IC during the execution of school related events in terms of AV requirements.
• Support the school Operations Manager in matters relating to:
• Fault reporting of AV & General equipment
• Maintenance and upkeep of the AV equipment
• Engagement and working with vendors to facilitate the repairs and maitainence of AV & General equipment
Qualification, Skill & Experience:
• Relevant experience and qualification in the area of
o Audio Visual Systems (e.g. lighting, sound, multimedia and staging systems) and/or
o Multimedia Technology (e.g. broadcasting equipment, multimedia editing)
• ICT skills in the use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Spreadsheet, Slides) for administration and video editing.
