Job scope

You will be supporting the Partners and Associates on Corporate work.

• Drafting legal docs, doc management, transaction management
• Support and assist lawyers to provide sound legal advice
• Carry out legal research and assist with billing, bibling etc

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in Corporate/Transactional practice area from a law firm
• Fluency in Mandarin is required to liaise with Chinese clients
• Bachelors Degree in Law or any other related subject

Key requirements

• 3-5 PQE (Singapore scale) at a reputed law firm
• Strong corporate/M&A experience with exposure to cross-border deals
• Dual Commonwealth/US qualification will be looked at favourably but not required
• Excellent legal drafting, research, presentation, analytical, communication and other technical skills.
• Proactive with strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

· Performing of client due dilligence checks (end to end) on corporate profiles

· Supporting of front office with onboarding processes

· Reviewing of information from different sources

· Review and preparation of all KYC documentation

· Assisting business with KYC queries

· Following up with stakeholders and relationship managers when required for clarifications and missing information

· Conducting financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring and disposition of name searches alerts

· Escalating high risk matters to compliance team

· Adhoc tasks and projects as assigned

Job Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in a related discipline

· Minimum 3 years of relevant KYC experience

· Able to start immediately or within short notice
