1. Minimum qualification:

• Diploma in Accounting and/or and Finance. Salary ranges from $2,800 - $3,500 per month depending on qualification and relevant working experience.

1. Job scope:

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage full set accounts for our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle from data entry to financial statement preparation
• Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage payroll processing and related tax filings
• Handle tax matters including GST/VAT returns and corporate tax computations
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities

Contract period : Immediate – 6 months to be extended if officer is suitable.

Working Hours Mondays – Thursdays 8.30am to 6pm, Fridays 8.30am to 5.30pm, 1 hr lunch break

External audit, Payments, Accounts receivable, accounting function in SME preferred.

General Accounting

• Responsible and accountable for maintaining accounting records timely and accurately through the journal adjustments.

• Responsible and accountable for maintaining Master Data records in the financial systems.

• Responsible to perform assigned tasks pertaining to period-end reconciliations

• Responsible and accountable to perform assigned tasks pertaining to period and/or year-end activities (eg. Collation of year-end returns)

Impact

The General Accounting function is not merely engaged in processing transactions but facilitates the aggregation of data in computer systems to enable meaningful performance report to be prepared. Failure in doing so may results in erroneous presentation of data and trends to Senior Management for decision-making purpose.

Key Responsibility Areas :

General Accounting

• Process cash and non-cash journals timely and accurately in NFS and ILMS; and initiate corrective actions to re-post journals where necessary to maintain accurate accounts.

• Maintain Master Data in ILMS and NFS in a timely and accurate manner. (ie. cost centres, sub-account codes, exchange rate, Interpreter Master Data, Vendor Master, Asset Master, Block Billing Accounts in NFS, GL Master Data and chartfields)

• Resolve and re-process journals stuck in the Re-processing table in the ILMS so that all NFS journals are successfully interfaced to ILMS. This involves working with ILMS vendor to resolve technical errors or HTDs to resolve budget errors as required.

• Help with the period-end reconciliations and period-end activities.

Help in the consolidation and preparation of period-end returns, reports and submissions.

Job Scope:

Working in the Finance Services Department, you will be responsible for the following:

• Perform finance and accounting functions, including but not restricted to accounting for daily revenue collection, accounts payable, month and year-end closing, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and prepare management reports
• Lead in the preparation, consolidation and submission of deposits returns
• Liaise with departments and ministries/agencies on returns and submissions
• Prepare audit schedules for statutory and other audits
• Attend to requests or enquiries from external and internal customers
• Any other adhoc tasks
