Accounts Executive

Working day: Mon to Fri, 5 day work week
Salary: $1800- $2500
Working location: JALAN SULTAN (Bugis)
Working hours: 9am - 6pm

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Bookkeeping Accounts Executive to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and helping to achieve our organizational goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Reporting to the General Manager
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
• Able to read, prepare, manage, use and interpret financial books.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Help track and monitor budgets, providing insights on variances and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to provide financial insights and support operational decisions.

Skills and Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Job Description

Accounts Payable

1. Responsible for the company’s Accounts Payable functions.

2. Maintain record-keeping for Accounts Payable, supported by the comprehensive documentations.

3. Inputting data for Accounts Payable and handling payment run processes.

4. Conduct reconciliation for Accounts Payable and intercompany transactions.

5. Manage vendor relationships, handle queries and resolve payment issues.

6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as internal controls.

7. Provide support for monthly financial closure and annual financial audit responsibilities.

8. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

9. Any other adhoc duties as assigned by department manager.

Quality Assurance

1. Timely & accurately record of transactions into SAP

2. File management

3. Ensure operation transactions are done in compliance with company policy

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy.
• Possess high integrity with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication and negotiation skills .
• Positive attitude with strong mindset and must be a good team player in a fast paced environment.
• High attention to detail who is meticulous, attentive and proactive.
• Focus on quality and good in commercial skills.

Responsibilities:

· Handle the entire Accounts Payable/Receivable module which includes verifying purchase invoices against P/O and acknowledged D/O, positing of approved invoices into the system.

· Ensure sub-ledger(s) is tally with GL control accounts and perform reconciliation if necessary.

· Responsible for payment preparation and liaise with suppliers for payment collection as well as verify the cheque & TT payment preparation to supplier [1st verification].

· Ensure a prompt and good filing for all AP/AR documents.

· Performing & implementation of SOX relevant controls.

· Involve in monthly stock-take.

· To perform any ad-hoc reports and jobs as and when requested by The Management.

Responsibilities:

· At least diploma or degree in accounting or equivalent.

· Minimum 3 years of working experience in accounting.

· Management skill and ability.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently.

· Good communication skill.

· Good command in English, both verbal and written.

· Computer literate.
