Responsibilities

• Support the Accountant in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations, and prepare journal vouchers in accordance with financial policies.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation of quarterly financial forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
• Handle quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) filings with precision and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment processing, invoice management, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Send monthly account statements to customers, monitor outstanding receivables, and ensure prompt collection of payments.
• Process vendor payments and employee reimbursement claims, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted, authorized, and supported by the necessary documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements and compliance with company policies.
• Address queries related to invoices and payments, providing efficient resolution and customer support.
• Perform accurate data entry into systems, ensuring the correct documentation and supporting materials are attached.
• Manage and oversee petty cash transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial operations.
• Assist in the preparation of audit and tax schedules, and provide necessary support during external audits.
• Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or a related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience in general finance, accounting, or cost accounting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and general accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks with strong time-management skills.

• Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Minimun diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a proven track record in a senior accounts role.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Prior experience in supervising a team is advantageous.
