The staff’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement a strategic and effective framework for providing access to the information of the Gallery’s collection of artwork to both internal and external parties, thereby, generating a greater awareness and understanding of the collection. • Responsible for generating and managing accurate statistics of the collection as well as reports tracking its usage to effectively measure the level of utilisation and public recognition of the collection.
• Responsible for strategic planning and implementation of copyright clearance for the collection and other related materials, the latter of which may include loans for exhibition projects. Handle complex negotiations with stakeholders in a sensible manner informed by understanding of regional context, while adhering to policies, international museum practice and guidelines.
• Facilitate complex internal and external requests for use of artwork images in the collection.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for increasing digital accessibility of the collection meaningfully. Develop new projects or enhancements to existing systems, work with internal stakeholders and vendors to execute in an effective manner.
• Instruct other staff members, interns and external researchers on procedures and aspects relating to copyright and image-use.
