The Structural Design Engineer (Formwork) is responsible for designing and developing formwork solutions used in concrete construction. This role involves creating detailed formwork designs, ensuring they meet structural requirements, safety standards, and project specifications. The designer collaborates with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that formwork systems are efficient, cost-effective, and align with the overall project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and create detailed designs for structural formwork systems used in concrete construction.
• Utilize CAD software and other design tools to produce accurate and comprehensive formwork drawings and specifications.
• Ensure formwork designs meet structural integrity, load-bearing capacity, and safety requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to determine the appropriate formwork solutions for different construction scenarios.
• Assess and select materials and systems that meet the project’s requirements and are cost-effective.
• Evaluate design alternatives and provide recommendations to optimize formwork systems.
• Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and construction teams to integrate formwork designs with overall project plans.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss formwork design issues, updates, and requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that formwork components are available and meet design specifications.
• Ensure that all formwork designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Review and verify that formwork systems are constructed and installed according to the approved designs and safety guidelines.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor formwork installation and address any issues or deviations from the design.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for formwork designs, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Document and track any design changes, variations, or issues, and provide updated information to project stakeholders.
• Provide detailed reports on formwork design performance and any challenges encountered during the design and construction phases.
• Identify and resolve design challenges or issues related to formwork systems during the design and construction phases.
• Develop and implement solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure the successful execution of formwork systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and advanced formwork technologies.
• Propose innovative formwork solutions and improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 4 Years of working experience in the related field.
• Required Skill(s): AutoCAD.
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent

Job Description & Requirements:

• Attend Mechanical meeting to report day to day activities, scheduled maintenance work,
• Conduct daily and weekly safety and progress meetings.
• Maintain Plant wide equipment track records (pumps, motors, gear box, shafts, valves).
• Beware of call up for break down job, contingency meeting with maintenance engineer.
• Compliance to the in-house HSSE standards and requirements to ensure a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned Critical activities.
• Work in confined space (Tanks, reactors, Drums) shaft, propeller, Mixtures alignment).
• Provides day-to-day hands-on repair of rotating equipment and drive high standard performance and accountability to deliver the site and department’s goals and target within the deadline.
• Good documentation of all equipment technical records and update SAP to reflect the latest changes.
• Execute improvements plans to minimise or eliminate inefficiency and ineffectiveness in workshop execution and implement technical solutions, including troubleshooting to resolve these problems.
• Prepare job specifications and costing for works involved and apply work permit for work execution.
• Support engineers to resolve equipment issues and update maintenance information, records and drawings are entering in the in-house system.
• Attend standby callout to the Emergency work upon request.
• Support operation for smooth production, trouble shoot and maintaining of high priority equipment’s like Centrifuge, decanter, chiller and shredder.
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled, breakdown and TA work executions by contractors including maintenance executed projects and modifications.
• Compliance with all safety measures, quality and maintenance procedures, including related technical specifications.
• Timely reporting of maintenance activities updates, and manage work order in SAP (PM closing, PR rise, SES, manpower hours and purchasing etc).
