RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Worker is responsible for facilitating change and improving lives for individuals, families, community facing transitional challenges through the provision of social casework.

RESPONSIBILITIES / MAJOR ACTIVITIES

• Conduct casework management, including gathering information, conducting psycho-social assessment, identifying common needs and goals for intervention
• Provide basic counselling as required

The Social Worker, under the supervision of the Head of Department (Allied Professionals), is a member of the school’s AP Department. He or she works via an inter-disciplinary model with fellow allied professionals, teaching staff and parents or caregivers, and is responsible in providing support services and intervention to benefit students and their families, when difficulties exist and they interfere with the students obtaining maximum educational benefits.
