Experience & Education

• A minimum of Five (5) years’ experience as a housekeeper and 2 years management experience at 4 or 5-star property preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing housekeeping or similar training programs preferred.
• Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices.
• Keep complete knowledge of OSHA standards and Regulations, including all safety Standards and Evacuation procedures.
• Experience with operations in a unionized environment preferred.

As the Cleaning Operations Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities:

Supervision: Oversee the tasks of chambermaids, ensuring that they perform housekeeping duties systematically and uphold the cleanliness standards, including maintaining common areas in compliance with established work requirements.

Physical Requirements: Be physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 25kg and pushing or pulling loads of approximately 100kg. Your role may also entail physically demanding activities such as carrying furnitures, dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, waste handling, as well as basic gardening and grass cutting.

Administrative Tasks: Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing abilities through the use of Microsoft Office software. Safety Oversight: Ensure that all duties performed by Supervisors and Cleaners align with their job descriptions and adhere to all relevant health and safety requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure staff adhere to job descriptions, safety regulations, and client expectations.
