Brief on the Role
Ferco is looking to hire an ambitious and energetic Graduate Sales
Executive to work with the Repair and Maintenance division of Ferco
Singapore. The successful candidate will work directly under the Manager of the division and assist in generating profitable new business for the company, assist with proposals and tenders for incoming enquiries as well as aid the Manager in the day to day running of the operation. This is a full time role based in Hillview in Singapore.
Duties
• Understand the market and find new avenues to generate
business to hit department targets
• Find new avenues of growth through long-term service contracts
to augment ad-hoc business.
• Assist in preparing proposals and quotations for incoming
enquiries
• Prepare information and assist the Manager with tender
submissions
• Provide input and assist with new digital and traditional marketing
campaigns
• Follow up on submitted proposals and work closely with the
Manager to foster strong relationships with customers
• Create and track submitted proposals and report status to the
Manager
• Develop an appropriate network of industry contacts and reach
out with direct marketing tools
• Liaise with manufacturers of products to study problems,
troubleshoot technical questions and relay information back to Manager
• Represent InterMoor at trade exhibitions and events as required
• Accompany the Manager for client meetings as needed.
Required
• Eagerness to learn about the building materials industry and
generate business
• Regardless of education background. should be willing and able
to pick up simple engineering and technical concepts to solve
customer problems
• Strong grasp of office productivity tools and eager to learn new
ones
• Independent and focused with the ability to use own initiative and
work unsupervised
• Strong perseverance to manage opportunities from start to close
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships with
clients and suppliers
• Commercial acumen to advise on commercial quotes and tenders
• Organized and diligent with good attention to details to ensure
high quality, professional submissions to customers
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken format
• Honest and trustworthy
• Organized and efficient
• Be able to think creatively and strategically and to successfully
mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and
externally
