- Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;

- Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/ dust/ smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. with the occupier of the construction site and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities;

- Report and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the occupier of the construction site once every monthly

• Work closely with subcontractors on their works to ensure timely work progress ;
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approved specifications ;
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management

Requirements

• Knowledge in Architectural/Structural/M&E works ;
• Diploma or Relevant Trade Certificate ;
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in architectural/Structural/M&E works ;
• Able to work independently and in a team

Key Responsibilities

• Generate invoices and packing lists for all shipments.
• Handle import and export declarations in compliance with local and international customs regulations.
• Coordinate and oversee incoming and outgoing shipment processes, ensuring timely delivery and receipt.
• Liaise with suppliers to monitor order fulfilment and with customers to ensure satisfaction with delivery.
• Maintain records of shipping documents, tracking information, and relevant documentation.
• Collaborate closely with logistics providers to negotiate rates, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to transportation or customs.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Superior.

• Minimum GCE O-Level or above.
• Working experience in Shipping Line is an added advantage.
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Microsoft Excel skill and knowledge is required.

• Handle all shipping documents to facilitate inbound and outbound shipments
• Check and compare rates with various forwarders for best quote
• Obtain shipping schedules and book shipments
• Liaise closely with vendors and warehouse on shipments
• Obtain booking confirmation, BL and other shipping documents from forwarder for each shipment
• Communicate shipping matters with customers and suppliers
• Check with forwarders on special shipping requirements of country before shipment and to communicate these requirement to the relevant departments.
• Arrange for cargo insurance
• Explore and search for new shipping agents/forwarders for competitive shipping charges

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge and understanding of shipping terminology and incoterms
• At least 1 year experience in the area of shipping or import and export.
• Know how to use Microsoft office especially Outlook, Words and Excel
• Team player and possess good interpersonal skills
• Organised
• Possess positive teachable attitude
• Careful in his/her work
