About the Role

As the Category Manager you will be part of the TPC IT Sourcing team and will report to the Head of IT Applications Category. About the role

The Device team in TPC aims to develop the category management strategy, steering the implementation towards procurement and supply chain operations for devices and essential products in the end to end value chain of Telenor Markets. The category has a significant financial impact in Telenor’s total spend and it is crucial to enable Telenor’s strategic ambition for growth.

Main Responsibility

As Senior Manager Device Category Management, you report to the Director of the category and work closely with internal Device teams, Suppliers and Business Stakeholders at executive C-level within the Telenor Business Units. You will lead Telenor markets to ensure we are able to capture opportunities for value creation and growth leveraging from a more strategic approach and relationship with suppliers in the landscape of devices.

· Bachelor’s degree with relevant business discipline in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics etc. MBA will be preferred.

· Minimum 5 years of negotiation experience for high value (+100 million USD) complex projects; in addition to at least 10 years in a senior procurement / contract management / strategic procurement / supply chain management role or as functional expert in high spend category (e.g. Radio Access Network, Core Network etc.).

Your Career

The Professional Services Senior Manager (Project/Program Management) will lead a team of Program Managers, Project Managers and Coordinators, including handling all deployment resources and ensuring that all deliverables are met and delivered on-time and under budget. This person will drive customer deployment projects including program, process initiatives, as well as partner with IT on systems and infrastructure processes. You will have direct responsibility on portfolio delivery efficiency, revenue targets and customer satisfaction.

Your Impact

Team management of more than 10 direct reports
Part of the regional leadership team and responsible for APAC’s portfolio of projects
Resourcing forecasting and Onboarding activities to meet demands
Project assignment and quality control
First-line support and escalation management for PS projects
Help with the team goals, for example actively working to reduce the backlog, increase CSAT responses and overall quality, Revenue recognition and forecasting
Determine project partners and team structure/organization partners will include technical and business resources
In conjunction with project partners, help ensure the definition of project scope, requirements, and deliverables
Work with internal stakeholders like Sales, Customer Success and Support teams to ensure a successful outcome on projects
Ensure quality control on the right usage of project management tool
Performance evaluation and continuous growth of your team members
Staffing, coaching and upskilling your direct reports according to their career plans and ambitions
Drive high billable utilization of the team and having full control of the productivity of team members
Championing Business Like Disciplined Execution in every day project management activities

Your Experience

BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent education/training/experience or equivalent military experience required
Masters in management discipline is a plus
Related work experience leading a high performing team delivering complex projects and programs desired
Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization
Strong proficiency with project management software, such as Clarizen, Asana, Confluence, or JIRA
Good presentation skills including written, oral, presentation
Good organizational skills including tool utilization (spreadsheets, project management tools, mind maps), information collection, attention to detail, and prioritization
Strong interpersonal skills including appreciation and the ability to elicit collaboration from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
Flexible to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines; able to promptly and expertly react to project adjustments and alterations
Experience managing large scale (Global) deployments with multiple projects, teams and resources
Project Management Institute PMP(r) certification or equivalent a plus
Experience with Google’s G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is a plus
