(i) Strengthen advocacy efforts on the benefits of regional interconnectivity and implement cooperative mechanisms to develop regional power grids.
(ii) Participate at the IEA and IRENA meetings to push for Singapore's proposals on regional offices, and our key interest on regional interconnectivity and decarbonisation.
(iii) Support negotiations and the drafting of the Host Country Agreement and other modalities.
(iv) Develop the work programme and focus areas for IEA and IRENA regional offices, and conduct regular reviews of the work programmes and budget in line with Singapore's interests.
(v) Manage the logistics aspects on the establishment of the office inluding the sourcing and rental of venue.
(vi) Oversee the co-hosted IEA and IRENA ministerial-level events at annual SIEWs.
You should have strong analytical and organisational skills, with a good understanding of and/or experience in international relations and energy issues. You should also be an excellent communicator and a team player, and be prepared to travel overseas for work. Those with a good command of a second language would have an advantage.
