QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ hands-on QC experience, preferably in a manufacturing/workshop environment.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical/schematic drawings.
• Familiar with the usage of commonly-usedbQC testing/measuring instruments.
• Strong verbal and written English, and able to generate QC reports in good English.
• Organised, methodical, meticulous, pro-active.
• Able to follow through with colleagues and vendors in a firm manner to ensure quality requirements are upheld and faults rectified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform product inspections to ensure that they conform to all specifications and procedures.
• Perform Incoming inspections, In-Process inspections, and Final inspections prior to delivery.
• Prepare QC reports.
• Communicate internally and with vendors on product faults, and follow up to ensure rectification.
• Ensure ISO/QEHS compliance for QC matters.

Job Description:

• Perform inspection of incoming products, materials or customer items according to job order, such as -measure and record the dimension of components/parts using measuring instruments and analyse the findings for discrepancy; -perform non-destructive test or hardness test (if necessary) and analyse findings and raise report where necessary; -take photographs of the components/parts for recording purposes.
• Perform initial inspection and raise report.
• Perform in-process inspection according to procedures and customer's specifications. Raise report whenever necessary.
• Perform final inspection of items to ensure that all quality requirements or specifications have been achieved. Analyse result and decide the acceptance level of the final product.
• Raise non-conformance report and submit to Immediate Supervisor.
• Prepare and maintain test procedure whenever needed.
• Prepare Data Book upon completion of jobs.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering or any related field
• At least have 2 years’ relevant working experience in quality control
• Knowledgeable in ISO documents preparation
