The Role

We are looking to hire a Pricing Manager within Asia Protection Pricing team at Pacific Life Re, a major global player in Life Reinsurance. The candidate will join as a senior member of the team and take on the ownership to manage a small team and pricing activities.

As an influential and innovative protection expert, your expertise in pricing, product development and experience analysis will be crucial as you work alongside Underwriting and Client Solutions teams to deliver creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients across the region.

Duties

1. Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of pricing terms and product development solutions to clients ensuring high technical standards of analysis and the production of high-quality pricing to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key tasks include:

· Manage detailed assessment of opportunities from pricing and risk perspective, with consideration on business strategy.

· Manage projects/quotes with minimal support.

· Peer Review team members’ work

2. Responsible for assigned on-going treaty reviews, pricing methodology and model reviews.

3. Support Client Solutions team in building and maintaining effective relationship with clients and promoting the business’ brand.

4. Provide leadership and mentoring within pricing team, ensuring appropriate development for direct reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Qualified Actuary (IFoA, SOA or IOAA)
• At least 8 years of working experience in Life (Re)insurance role with strong understanding of actuarial principles and processes.
• Prior experience in relevant markets and team management.
• Good technical and analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise workloads and deliver tasks on time.
• Sound understanding of underwriting and claim practices and the interaction with pricing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring appropriate stakeholder management during the end-to-end quote process.
• Awareness of systems such as SAS, SQL, Emblem is an advantage.

Key responsibilities for Operation Manager:

1. Overseeing Daily Operations: Ensuring the efficient day-to-day functioning of the shop, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.

2. Managing Inventory: Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels to prevent stockouts or wastage, while also ensuring all products are fresh and in good quality.

3. Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive work environment.

4. Quality Control: Upholding high standards of quality in food preparation, presentation, and service to meet customer expectations and health regulations.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing finances effectively, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue to ensure profitability.

6. Customer Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and enhance the overall dining experience.

7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed to create a safe environment for both staff and customers.

8. Marketing and Promotions: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract more customers and increase sales.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure team briefings are carried out before each service period
• Implement and ensure that Food Safety and Hygiene standards are met at all times
• Ensure that all food is prepared according to quality, taste and hygiene guidelines established by the Company
• Train and develop the team to deliver the food to a high standard
• Ensure readiness for service and that the pace is set for peak times
• Ensure that all food is presented for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence
• Deal with any customer returns of food in a timely manner
• Check and sign for all deliveries
• Ensure that outlet is stocked with adequate levels of inventory
• Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Outlet, including but not limited to plates, bowls and crockery
• Control wastage
• Handle guests’ special requests and complaints
• Ensure that the Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Crew are able to handle their duties properly and well groomed, properly attired and efficient.
• Ensure that the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained including the maintenance of furnishings and equipment and the proper set up of the Outlet and connected areas
