Assistant Cook Duties and Responsibilities

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations

• Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

• Roti prataflour mixing

• Making Varieties of RotiPrata (egg prata, Bananprata, coin prata,etc.,)

• Making Varieties of Dosai (Masaladosai, Ravadosai,Plaindosai, specialdosai,Geedosai. etc.,)

• Making Chappathi and Chappathi flour mixing

• preparation of south indian& north indian curies

• Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system

• Cooking order according to food health and safety standards

• Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes

• Handling multiple food orders at one time

• Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive

• Dressing order for presentation

• Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides

• Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner

• Storing all food properly

• Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils

• Reordering stock and food supplies

• Monitoring other cooks and team members

• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed

Assistant Cook Requirements and Qualifications

• Ready to work any shift

Main Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support (includes but not limited to):
• Provide customer service to members using the facilities, including checking of identification pass to ensure only authorised users are entering facilities, and registering members for facility use and events/activities.
• Answer phone enquiries
• Update booking system, complete daily facility and activity reports and handle payments.
• Monitor members, guests and contractors at the assigned event/activity and report any issues to the superior
• Instructional Support (includes but not limited to):
• Demonstrate procedures common to the activities and instruct on use of related equipment.
• Setup/prepare facilities prior to scheduled start time of events/activities e.g. exercise classes, workshops, functions, and sporting events.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and safety procedures.
• Facility/Equipment Maintenance -Ensure facilities are open and/or closed at the posted time.
• Monitor and check the security of premises.
• Monitor activities within the facility and ensure good order and discipline.
• Ensure facilities are properly maintained, safe and ready for play/use.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment i.e. facilities and equipment are in a clean, neat, and orderly state at all times.
• Report maintenance problems and unsafe conditions or discrepancies that cannot be fixed in-house to the superior

Requirements:

Able to work 2 rotating shifts and on weekends and public holidays

Pleasant personality with good communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to work well both individually and in a team with minimal supervision

Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labour

Conversant with IT applications, MS Word, MS Excel etc

Prior experience working in a recreation club will be an advantage

Minimum N Level/O Level/ITE Certificate
