KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Ensure that the company assigned financial and productivity targets are met.
· Undertake the organization and management of warehouse operations to ensure smooth operations including supplier management, for process optimization & enhancement, as well as to ensure satisfactory result (customer satisfaction, Geodis Singapore & Business Unit targets, and compliance to relevant requirements).
· Ensure the accurate Standard Operating Procedures/work flow is in place, reviewed for efficiency and respected by team.
· Implement effective initiatives to contain costs and improve operational efficiency and productivity.
· Ensure proper manpower utilization and adequate tools / equipment’s in place
· Implement and execute logistics strategies
· Liaise with customers to maintain current businesses and for the development of new businesses.
· Ensure conformity of workplace - regulations, OHS / hygiene, and relevant requirements.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL AND / OR TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATES
· Degree holder in logistics or related with 7 year experience or more in logistics field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
· 7 years of working experience or more in logistics industry required
· 5 years in leadership related experience
· Experience in logistics and operations development – keen on logistics processes, and relevant regulations.
· Highly proficient on WMS management
· General knowledge on logistics and freight forwarding businesses
· Sound knowledge of OHS
NECESSARY TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
· Highly proficient in computer skills and common applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
· Effective communication
· Strong time management, problem solving and negotiation skills
· Customer and Result Orientation
· Team management – ability to lead, guide, support and develop the team members
Work Hours
Monday-Friday : 9am-6pm
