(3) Membership Development and Engagement:

Responsible for recruiting new members and retaining existing ones. This may involve developing membership benefits, organising networking events, and fostering a sense of community among members.

(4) Financial Management:

Oversees the financial health of the association, including budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

(5) Strategic Partnerships:

Cultivates relationships with other organisations, government agencies, and industry partners to advance the goals of the association. This may involve collaborating on joint initiatives, forming alliances, and seeking opportunities for mutual benefit.

(6) Policy Development:

Monitors legislative and regulatory developments and, together with the President and the executive council, develops policy positions, and advocates for policies that benefit members.

(7) Executive Council Relations:

Works closely with the executive council and implement executive council directives.

(8) Risk Management:

Identifies and mitigates risks that may affect the association's operations or reputation. This may involve developing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage.

(9) Organisational Development:

Responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the association. This may involve developing staff talent, implementing organisational policies and procedures, and promoting diversity and inclusion.

The trade association is looking for someone who thinks strategically and is hands-on. Depending on the work experiences and track record, the successful candidate can expect an annual remuneration of at least $130,000.00

This position reports to Finance Manager, handle full sets of accounts and audit schedules including GST filing and ensure invoices processing.

Responsibilities:

· Able to handle full set of accounts and audit schedules

· perform day-to-day operations in one or more of these accounting functions such as Jurnal, AR, AP, GL

· Prepare bank reconciliation and intercompany transactions

· Prepare GST reconciliation quarterly and submission of GST returns

· Liaise with auditors/tax agent on year-end audit and annual tax filing

· Monthly AR aging review meeting with business unit

· Timely update incoming receipts in system

· Ensure invoice processing and payment are accurate and within the timeline

· Liaise with vendors on monthly payment, claims report and reimbursement

· Any other duties assigned by Management

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or High school diploma or equivalent in Accountancy

· At least 3 years of relevant working experience in handling full set of accounts

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)

· Work independently, a team-oriented player with good interpersonal and communication skills

· Exhibits positive mindset and maturity to cope with changes in a dynamic environment

· Experience in Manufacturing Industry

1. Preparation of maintenance schedule according to clients master schedule.

2. Preparation of progress report and submission

3. Procurement of material/ parts/ components

4. Technical assessment of systems and introduction of retrofit / replacement recommendation to clients

5. On the job risk analysis and preparation of risk assessment procedure.

6. Preparation of method of statement / process for presentation to clients.

7. Perform checks and inspections of entire systems including control parameters attendance.

8. Troubleshooting of fault / breakdowns and rectification according to authorities / clients requirement.

9. Perform full set of testing complying to authorities / clients requirement.

10. Perform maintenance program and complying to authorities / clients requirementt.

11. Attendance of meeting and or site survey with clients.

12. Submission of quotations / costing to clients within stimulated time frame.

13. Maintenance of good public relationship with vendors / clients.

14. Logistic and manpower planning and arrangement.

The Role:

• Manage the full spectrum of accounts receivable and payable functions
• Perform daily bank reconciliations
• Submit expense claims on behalf of CEO and COO
• Conduct quarterly checks on commissions
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support audit processes and GST filing
• Perform any other accounting and ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the Company

What are we looking for?

• At least 1 year of accounting experience
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero is an advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel (PivotTable and VLOOKUP) and MS PowerPoint
