Site managers are responsible for ensuring that a construction project is completed on time and within budget. Alternative job titles for site managers include construction manager, project manager and site agent.

Site managers work on construction sites and work often begins just before construction. • Manage the transmission of documents and drawings to the client and subcontractor to ensure the updated drawings are issued. • Prepare method of statement and work procedure. • Conduct weekly or monthly meeting with sub-contractors to update progress of work. • Ensure quality of work is achieved and all government and safety regulation are complied. • Oversee drawing management and control of technical documentation. • Manage procurement of resources, monitor and control material usage on site to avoid unnecessary wastage or wrongly usage. • Assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer in co-ordination with consultants on change order issued and liaise closing with the Quantity surveyor by providing necessary supporting documents on the change order. • Organize labor, equipment and material for day to day site activities • Carry out material receiving inspection and maintaining material record. • All delivery order are to be return to office for record. • Prepare daily and monthly progress report, perform and maintain inspection record. • Any other duties assigned

Job Responsibilities:

§ To assist SPM / PM on the project execution.

§ Prepare method of statement for projects, co-ordination with construction team and sub-contractors.

§ Prepare Schedule & Manpower, Equipment, Machinery & Consumables plan for site works.

§ To review and assist the Technical team for design and details as per site feasibility, and highlight the discrepancy between site and drawings.

§ Day to day management of the site operation, including supervising and monitoring the site manpower and the work of any subcontractors;

§ Detail planning of works and efficiently organizing the plant, site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;

§ Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;

§ Checking plans and quantities of work done.

§ Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;

§ To assist for leading and execute the Site Management System.

§ Responsible for the provision of safe and healthy working environment for all staff.

§ To review and implement good recommended safe work procedure.

§ To assist the safety committee and implement follow up action on safety matters.

§ Plan and organize project team to carry out works efficiently and successfully.

§ Assist in the preparation of budget, overall schedule, quality control, procurement and selection of subcontractors.

§ Plan ahead of schedule and to anticipate site problems.

§ Resolve anticipated site problems before they have any impact on cost, overall schedule and quality.

§ Ensure project team is competent to carry out their work and recommend for their skill upgrading.

§ Define clear scope of work for each member of the project team.

§ Ensure clear instructions are given to each member of the project team.

§ Liaise with Client’s Representative and to ensure all problems and requirements of Client is being attended.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Qualification : Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management

2. Minimum Experience : 5 years related experience

Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Mechanical & Electrical Construction

· Ability to read drawings and to plan resources and manpower

· Possession of a Certificate in Building Construction Safety Supervisors & Work at Height Supervisor Certificate

· Independent, resourceful, self-motivated, hardworking and able to work as a team

· Able to work in a fast pace environment and handle tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

· To coordinate and supervise site workers and subcontractors;

· To assist in project engineering of mechanical and electrical systems;

· To assist in co-ordination and management of assigned projects / facilities;

· Ensure material ordering is per specifications and per budget;

· Ensure efficiency in manpower deployment on site.
