Electrical Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering degree from an accredited school.
• Licensed as a professional engineer.
• Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
• Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
• Proficient in design and calculation software.

• Participate in clarifications/discussions with the yard and vendors and discipline meetings
• Equipment and material received, storage, and preservation control
• Provide a high level of quality control ensuring deliverables are on time and of high-quality reporting
• Review and comment on project documentation/procedures
• Ensure mechanical completion (MC) ready for handover to Commissioning
• Able to conduct detail strip and assemble of the equipment that had been serviced
• Able to drive to the work site independently

Our client is a well-established MNC, market leader in the Water Treatment industry. They are looking for a E&I Engineer to assist their E&I team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in South – easily accessible.

Duties of E&I Engineer:

• Review project specs to ensure equipment meets contract requirements
• Prepare and approve instrument and electrical deliverables (e.g. wiring diagrams, lists, data sheets)
• Create material requests and evaluate bids for electrical and instrument equipment
• Develop engineering standards and procedures for design
• Monitor project costs and schedules
• Attend technical meetings and address client feedback
• Support plant start-up and on-site troubleshooting
• Provide technical support and estimates to the sales team
• Advise engineers and Project Managers
• Follow company health and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Engineering/ Electrical or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with key engineering concepts and practices
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently with attention to detail
• Good teamwork skills
• Knowledge of hazard area classification
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Role & Responsibilty

• Responsible for quantity take-offs and Cost Control functions for projects.
• Subcontracts management.
• Supervisor and Plan for Daily work schedule and progress for requirement for targeted completion.
• Tracking of Subcontractors/ Suppliers obligations required as per agreement.
• Administering variations to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Preparation of progress certificates for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
• Identification and pricing of variations to the Contract.
• Assist in preparation of monthly commercial report.
• Maintaining registers of variations, extension of time claims.
• Liaising effectively with other Technician, engineers and supervisors to ensure all relevant information in relation to variations. and extension of time claims is captured.
• Any other duties as may be required by the Company.
