A structural formwork designer in the construction industry plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient design of temporary structures required for concrete placement. This role requires a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla), and practical knowledge of construction methods and materials. 1. Design formwork systems (aluminium formwork and system formwork) to support concrete structures (slabs, beams, columns, walls, etc.) during construction.
2. Ensure designs adhere to engineering principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
3. Select appropriate materials (e.g., plywood, aluminium, steel) based on project specifications.
4. Perform structural analysis to determine load capacities, deflection limits, and stability of formwork systems.
5. Ensure designs can withstand live loads, dead loads, and environmental factors (wind, vibration, etc.).
6. Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams to align formwork designs with construction schedules and site conditions.
7. Coordinate with architects and structural engineers to integrate formwork designs with overall project plans.
8. Ensure formwork designs meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
9. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with formwork installation and removal.
10. Optimize the use of formwork materials to minimize costs and waste.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of engineering principles related to load-bearing structures and construction methods.
• At least 5 Years of working experience in the related field.
• Required Skill(s): AutoCAD.

Job Description & Requirements

• Collect and analyse air samples from indoor and outdoor environments, or collect and study multiple types of sources at multiple locations.
• Test samples that have been previously collected in a laboratory environment using specialized equipment and procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, stock and utilize laboratory equipment and consumables as and when required.
• Maintain regular calibration of sampling and/or laboratory equipment.
• Record accurate sampling observations and data to provide to management
• Work independently with minimal supervision or closely with a team of individuals across various disciplines or seniority levels.
• Keep detailed data reports of all sampling information collected.
• Thoroughly understand various sampling methods and how different methods can obtain different results.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Possess Class 3 Driving License (not mandatory)

Requirements:

• Higher NITEC, Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Facilities Management, Chemical Engineering or related qualifications
• Environmental engineering, Lab Environment, Environmental Science, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance
• Attention to Detail, Research Skills, Reporting Research Results, Environmental Law, Site Development, Sales, technical reporting and consultancy.

• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and development environments.
• Ability to work with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming and concurrent systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex software issues.
• Good understanding of network programming and protocols is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
