Sr Scientist, DoD Polymer Chem.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Scientist specializing in Debonding on Demand (DoD) Polymer Chemistry, you will lead the development of advanced polymers with controlled debonding capabilities. Your work will focus on synthesizing and characterizing polymers that respond to specific stimuli, enabling precise and reversible debonding for various applications. These materials include dynamic networks, shape-memory polymers, and other stimuli responsive materials tailored for on-demand debonding.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and synthesize debonding on demand polymers with unique, stimuli responsive properties.
· Characterize the developed polymers, ensuring their effectiveness and viability in advanced adhesive technologies.
· Apply extensive experience in literature and patent search, ideally as an inventor, to contribute to the company's intellectual property (IP) portfolio and innovation strategy.
· Lead a cross-functional team of scientists, fostering innovation and collaboration to drive progress in DoD polymer research.
· Collaborate with external R&D partners, exploring open innovation opportunities to accelerate technological advancement.
· Take ownership of technology development in the DoD polymer field, contributing to sustainable product development.
· Share knowledge and advancements within the company, ensuring continuous growth and learning.
Requirements:
· PhD in Polymer Chemistry or Polymer Engineering.
· Strong commitment to technology and product development, with a focus on Debonding on Demand technologies.
· Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, coupled with significant expertise in both technical knowledge and patent landscapes within polymer chemistry.
· Dedication to fostering innovation through external R&D collaborations.
· 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years in industrial research or product development.
· Proven leadership experience as a group leader. Proficiency in English.
· Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office.
