Job Description

A key member of the NUS College’s Communications team, the PR & Brand manager will play a pivotal role in elevating and driving the College’s brand mindshare and reputation. The role will be responsible for developing and executing effective PR and brand strategies that align with the company’s strategic vision and business objectives. By building strong relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders, the PR and Brand Manager will drive positive awareness, manage public relations and contribute towards raising overall brand-building efforts for the College.

Brand Marketing & Management

• Develop and implement 360-degree brand communications & marketing strategies and campaigns, aligned with NUSC’s brand positioning (brand activation, partnerships, collaborations etc).
• Manage and enhance the brand guidelines catered to all touch points, ensuring synergies across multiple brand platforms and mediums.
• Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all NUSC channels, including website, social media, advertising and collaterals/materials.
• Manage NUSC corporate gift inventory, especially in curating gifts that align with the NUSC brand.
• Lead and oversee NUSC facility branding needs in collaboration with infrastructure office.

Public Relations Management

• Develop and pitch compelling press releases, media advisories and story angles to journalists, as well as craft speeches and executive communications for NUSC leadership.
• Manage media inquiries/briefings and coordinate interviews.
• Build and cultivate relationships with key media outlets, editors, correspondents, especially in the education sector.
• Monitor media coverage and track brand mentions.
• Proactively identify and address potential PR challenges or crises.

Measurement & Training

• Measure and report the effectiveness of PR and brand initiatives as well as identify trends, insights, and areas for optimisation.
• Manage brand research/sentiment surveys and audits.
• Conduct brand training workshops to impart NUSC brand guidelines and industry best practices.
• Work with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in PR & brand management, campaign management and agency management.
• Previous experience in collaborating with broad groups of internal and external stakeholders in large organisations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects/campaigns with sometimes challenging timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly effective and strong creative and business judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mediacorp Brand Studio is hiring a talented and experienced Assistant Editor for its growing content marketing team. Candidates should be passionate about creating impactful content that spans across different formats - from print articles to digital and social media copy - and mediums that include audio and video. Candidates will work with a pool of freelancers and collaborate closely with an experienced in-house team of creatives, editors and art directors to produce engaging content on Mediacorp's platforms. This can be in the form of advertorials, customised digital campaigns and custom content for clients. Besides sharp writing and editing skills, the ideal candidate is also creative in storytelling, being able to shape compelling content ideas around client briefs.

The role involves taking ownership of the entire production cycle of projects from ideation, execution to amplification and requires good planning, project management and client management skills. The ability to work on multiple projects/campaigns with tight deadlines is essential. The Assistant Editor will report to the Senior Editors of Mediacorp Brand Studio.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects/campaigns within the Brand Studio team
• Manage writers, designers and freelancers to ensure successful development and execution of projects/campaigns to high standards
• Work with in-house creative, editorial and art teams to create innovative content solutions
• Work with various editorial and product development teams to ensure branded content fits seamlessly on Mediacorp platforms
• Ensure all projects/campaigns are delivered on-time and represent the highest creative and editorial standards
• Develop compelling branded content that aligns thematically with the sponsoring brands and fits seamlessly alongside editorial content across platforms

• At least 3 years' experience in a relevant role for Assistant Editor
• Proven track record as a creative storyteller. Must be strong with scripting and original concepts
• Journalism experience in creating factual editorial and non-paid video content for newsroom or digital platforms. Strong editorial judgment and appreciation for the rigour of fact-checking are key
• Experience working with different formats of content, ranging from video and infographics, to podcasts and feature stories of different beats
• Experience in creating both bite-sized and longer-form content for a digital market is a plus
• Familiarity with Mediacorp's platforms, brands and celebrities is an asset

Event Planning and Coordination

• Assist to organize offline events and online webinars (e.g., exhibitions, workshops, competitions, social gatherings) through effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Marketing Collateral and Brand Management

• Create, maintain, and update corporate marketing materials
• A great eye for design and the ability to generate new ideas for content creation
• Plan and develop marketing collateral, such as posters and brochures
• Organise photo/video shoots with photographer/videographer
• Develop templates ahead to post on website, social media, email and other mediums
• Create and develop other designs such as presentations, pitch decks, signages, and trade show collaterals, as needed
• Manage and maintain the brand architecture, guidelines and corporate identity to ensure consistency across all channels
• Educate and train teams in upholding the brand image and reputation

Digital Strategy (Website and Social Media) and Lead Management

• Grow the Company’s digital presence as part of the overall marketing strategy
• Develop and manage content calendars for social media platforms, creative production (including text, images, videos, etc.), and foster community engagement and growth
• Plan and execute digital campaigns and promotions
• Plan, execute and measure A/B tests
• Manage the company’s official website, execute SEO initiatives (with additional support), and ensure smooth lead generation and nurturing processes

Client Relationships Management & Corporate Communication

• Utilize CRM systems to generate insightful reports
• Develop Email Direct Marketing (EDM) campaigns and disseminate company updates to strengthen client relationships and trust
• Develop marketing automation journeys and create personalised email content on CRM systems to drive engagement and return stays
• Analyse performance of marketing automation and email campaign performance

Regular Market Research

Marketing Budget

• Assist to develop marketing budgets based on activity-sorted expenses
• Compare actual expenses to the budget and escalate to Management any issues or discrepancies

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field required (FMCG, F&B and Hospitality)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform end-to-end media preparation for post-production, such as encode, ingest, outgest and housekeeping of all video assets.
• Media traffic management in a centralized editing environment.
• Ensure that the metadata in Production Asset Management system are always optimized.
• Undertake basic editing and compilation of shots.

• Basic technical knowledge, preferably in non-linear editing or Video post-production.
