We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Senior Editor to join our dynamic team focused on creating and curating high-quality, impactful content for our health and medical digital media channel. The candidate will have extensive experience in editorial leadership and content strategy within the health and medical sector, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives that engage our audience. Additionally, the candidate should have a deep understanding of digital publishing trends, SEO best practices and the ability to adapt content to the evolving needs of the digital space. The role requires a strategic thinker who is also hands-on, overseeing content production from content to completion, ensuring that every piece aligns with our mission to provide accurate, relevant and timely health information.
You are responsible for:
· Editorial Leadership & Content Strategy:
- Develop and execute editorial strategies for health-focused digital platforms.
- Lead planning, creation, and delivery of medically accurate, audience-friendly content.
- Manage editorial calendars, ensuring timely delivery across channels.
· Team Management & Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor content creators and freelance contributors.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and adherence to guidelines.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and digital teams to optimize content for SEO and engagement.
· Content Development & Quality Assurance:
- Oversee creation of diverse content formats, including articles, videos, and infographics.
- Review and edit content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to ethical standards.
· Content Management Systems & Publishing:
- Manage content using CMS tools, ensuring efficient publishing and updates.
- Maintain streamlined publishing workflows in collaboration with digital teams.
· Audience Engagement & Growth:
- Analyze performance metrics to refine editorial strategies.
- Stay updated on health trends and best practices in digital media to grow audience engagement. Develop strategies to grow and engage the online community across various platforms.
You will need:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in editorial roles, with a strong background in health, wellness, or journalism.
- Content strategy, team leadership, SEO, CMS tools, and analytics.
- Bachelor’s in Journalism, Communications, Public Health, or related fields
You will have an edge over other candidates with:
- Multimedia content creation skills (e.g., video, podcasts).
- Experience in collaboration with healthcare professionals for authoritative content.
- Familiarity in digital storytelling and healthcare marketing..
